Abstract:
Provided is a reheat boiler in which the imbalance in temperature distribution of the temperature of the combustion gas at the outlet of a reheat furnace is reduced by changing the gas flow pattern in the reheat burner. A reheat boiler includes a main boiler configured such that main combustion gas generated in combustion in a burner flows from a furnace through a superheater and evaporator tubes, a reheat furnace that is disposed on the downstream of the evaporator tubes and produces reheat combustion gas by combustion in a reheat burner, and a reheater disposed above the reheat furnace. A closing plate, serving as a drift preventing portion, is provided at a reheat furnace outlet that connects the reheat furnace and the reheater to form a flow path for the combustion gas and the reheat combustion gas so as to narrow the cross-sectional area of the flow path for the combustion gas.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a protein or polypeptide substance having at least one amino group bonded to a polyethyleneglycolosy group represented by the following general formula;R.sub.1 --(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2).sub.n --O--(wherein R.sub.1 represents an optionally substituted cholesteryl group; and n represents a positive integer which is arbitrarily variable), and a method for producing said the protein or polypeptide. The present invention also provides a reactive polyethyleneglycol derivative as an intermediated for above the method. The chemically modified protein or polypeptide of the present invention never impairs bonding with a receptor and has a high plysiological activity. Then, a behaviors in vivo of these substance is improved. Now medical substances or drugs having a high pharmacological activity can be developed by using these substance.
Abstract:
A bar code printing device that prints print data including a bar code that has bars arranged in parallel in a main scan direction and spaces therebetween includes: a decoder that detects a point of change from a bar to a space based on bar code position information that indicates a position of the bar code in the print data and a data value for each line in the print data; and a data transfer part that moves up timing for outputting a drive signal for printing a bar immediately preceding the space and that outputs the drive signal, if the decoder detects the point of change from the bar to the space in the bar code.
Abstract:
The present invention aims at providing a useful and novel G protein-coupled receptor protein and DNA thereof. The G protein-coupled receptor protein of the present invention and the like, and the polynucleotides encoding the receptor protein and the like, are useful for; 1) determination of ligands (agonists); 2) preparation of antibodies and antisera; 3) construction of recombinant receptor protein expression systems; 4) development of the receptor binding assay systems using the expression systems and screening of pharmaceutical candidate compounds; 5) effecting drug design based on comparison with structurally similar ligand receptors; 6) reagents for preparation of probes and PCR primers for gene diagnosis; 7) production of transgenic animals; and 8) pharmaceutical drugs for the gene prophylaxis and gene therapy.
