Abstract:
Methods are provided for uniform deposition of particles on curved surfaces such as fibers and coatings formed by the particles. Particles in the size range of 10-2000 nm are deposited onto a fibrous material via electrostatic interaction between charge modified fiber material surfaces and oppositely charged particles or metal ions. Various nonmetallic, bimetallic or other charged particles are deposited onto a fibrous material via electrostatic interaction between charged modified fibrous material surfaces and oppositely charged particles. Particles can be directly assembled onto a surface of a fibrous material by controlling hydrogen bonding interactions between interfaces of fibers and functionalized particles. Metal particles can also be deposited by in situ synthesis. A method is also provided for layer-by-layer deposition of particles over a fibrous material.

Abstract:
A vertical ring magnetic separator for de-ironing of coal ash comprises a rotating ring (101), an inductive medium (102), an upper iron yoke (103), a lower iron yoke (104), a magnetic exciting coil (105), a feeding opening (106), a tailing bucket (107) and a water washing device (109). The feeding opening (106) is used for feeding the coal ash to be de-ironed, and the tailing bucket (107) is used for discharging the non-magnetic particles after de-ironing. The upper iron yoke (103) and the lower iron yoke (104) are respectively arranged at the inner and outer sides of the lower portion of the rotating ring (101). The water washing device (109) is arranged above the rotating ring (101). The inductive medium (102) is arranged in the rotating ring (101). The magnetic exciting coil (105) is arranged at the periphery of the upper iron yoke (103) and the lower iron yoke (104) so as to make the upper iron yoke (103) and the lower iron yoke (104) to be a pair of magnetic poles for generating a magnetic field in the vertical direction, wherein the inductive medium (102) is layers of steel plate meshes, each steel plate mesh is woven by wires, and ridge-shape sharp corners are formed at the edges of the wires. A method for magnetically separating and de-ironing of coal ash, utilizes the vertical ring magnetic separator for de-ironing of coal ash. By adopting the vertical ring magnetic separator and the method of magnetic separation for de-ironing, the de-ironing efficiency is improved by at least 20%.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to novel substituted tricyclic heteroaromatic compounds of structural formula (I) which are inhibitors of the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme and which are useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved, such as diabetes and particularly Type 2 diabetes. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved.
Abstract:
A transparent cell phone protector case where the face of the cell phone is facing away from the rear of the transparent cell phone protector case. This case is a snap fit over the cell phone and sandwiches a decorative accessory color card between the transparent cell phone protector case and the cell phone. The invention is to insert a card of a different color between the back of the cell phone and the acrylic transparent case so that the colored card gives the cell phone protector case a different colored appearance. A set of these colored cards can be sold so that an individual can exchange the color to match the outfit they are wearing.
Abstract:
Underfill materials for fabricating electronic devices are described. One embodiment includes an underfill composition including an epoxy mixture, an amine hardener component, and a filler. The epoxy mixture may include a first epoxy comprising a bisphenol epoxy, a second epoxy comprising a multifunctional epoxy, and a third epoxy comprising an aliphatic epoxy, the aliphatic epoxy comprising a silicone epoxy. The first, second, and third epoxies each have a different chemical structure. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
