Abstract:
A method for booting and using software for AWP and B type amusing gaming machines, and for C type casino machines is described. It is applicable to machines with a dynamic kernel PC system and which use software relative to one main operating system, a games operating system (GOS) and some games programs, the method using: an external storage support that contains all the software, and a reading unit suitable for reading the contents of the external storage support and supplying it to the PC system. The method comprising accessing, by means of the reading unit, different layers of the software contained in the external storage support, grouped according to respective levels of security, the access causing a booting of the PC system, by downloading, into RAM, processing and subsequently running, the contents of each layer, until the complete software is downloaded into RAM, processed and run.
Abstract:
One microfluidic device of the present invention includes a substrate having a surface and a depression formed in the surface of the substrate. The microfluidic device further includes a detectable marker in the depression and a coating covering the surface. Methods of producing and using the microfluidic device are further described.
Abstract:
A brace for use in a door frame of a vehicle to brace an hydraulic ram in order to move the front interior portion of the vehicle away from the seats of the vehicle is disclosed. The brace includes a frame for fitting over the horizontal portion and "B" post of the door frame. The brace includes a brace mechanism that is self-locking with the brace frame through means of opposing sets of openings formed in the sides of the brace frame. The brace has a handle and brace pin which is inserted into the openings. The brace pin has a notch at the end farthest from the handle portion. Notch openings are formed horizontally on each of the openings on the sides of the frame. Accordingly, when the pin portion is inserted through the side openings, the notch fits through the notch openings and then gravity rotates the handle downward thereby locking the notch against the farther side of the brace frame. A secondary lock clip is also provided which fits into a hole within the pin to further lock the pin portion of the brace mechanism. The foot of the hydraulic ram rests against the pin portion. Stability bars are provided in the vertical portion of the frame to fit the vertical portion of the door frame there between.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides modular magnetic anastomosis devices that can be implemented in digestive surgery or in any circumstance of anastomosis between adjacent organs or two hollow viscera. The device is minimally invasive and easily and quickly delivered using laparoscopic or endoscopic procedures.
Abstract:
The pendant of the present invention is a uniquely designed jewelry accessory in the form of a cross or a crucifix. The top part of the cross or crucifix is completely open, symbolizing the resurrection of the spirit of Jesus Christ after his body died on the cross. The pendant hangs from a chain that forms a triangular shape.
Abstract:
An impulse convertor for converting a received telephone impulse dialing signal into a restored dialing signal has a limiter-amplifier, a signal detector, an output formatter, and a controller. The limiter-amplifier receives the impulse dialing signal from an interface b to a communication system such as a public switched telephone network or a cellular network, limits the amplitude range of the received impulse dialing signal, and compensates for attenuation of the received impulse dialing signal. The signal detector analyzes successive portions of an output signal generated by the limiter-amplifier and determines dialed digits represented by the received impulse dialing signal. The output formatter converts the dialed digits determined by the signal detector into the restored dialing signal that is provided to a device C such as a PABX. The controller coordinates operation of the limiter-amplifier, signal detector, and output formatter.

Abstract:
The illustrated invention defines an analytical titration chip comprising an optically transparent substrate such as glass or plastic that defines a fluid inlet port, plural microfluidic sample carrying channels communicating with the inlet, and plural titration chambers fluidly communicating with the channels. Each titration chamber contains a different concentration of the same titrant to define a spectrum or range of titrations. An air management chamber is in fluid communication with the titration chambers to facilitate capillary flow of fluid into the titration chambers.
