Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, lead wirings provided on the first substrate or the second substrate and a first insulator part provided on an upper surface of the second substrate. The lead wirings are arranged in a peripheral region when seen in a plan view and the first insulator part is arranged so as to overlap a display region when seen in a plan view. Abstract: A liquid crystal includes first and second substrates, the first substrate including intersecting data lines and scan lines. A liquid crystal layer is sandwiched therebetween. Also, a plurality of sub-pixels districted by data lines and gate lines, and arranged along the long-axis and the short-axis directions in a matrix. A pixel electrode in the sub-pixels includes a central portion. A common electrode including linear electrodes arranged along the data lines and disposed with gaps therebetween. Sub-pixels are bent at the center portion, such that the linear electrodes or the gaps in both sides of the sub-pixels are inclined in opposite directions with respect to the long-axis direction. At least one of the linear electrodes or at least one of the gaps has a bent portion at the central portion of the respective pixel electrode. The common electrode is provided on liquid crystal layer side over the pixel electrode.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises image signal lines, scanning signal lines, pixels, a display area, pixel electrodes, and common electrodes. The common electrodes are configured to detect an object and to display an image in the display area. The common electrodes include first and second common electrodes which are arranged in a first direction. A first slit is provided between the first and second common electrodes. The first and second common electrodes are supplied a signal different from each other. A second slit is provided in the first common electrode. Each of the first slit and the second slit overlaps one of the image signal lines and extends in an extension direction in which the image signal line extends.

Abstract: The reliability of a display device with an input device is improved. A plurality of detection electrodes (input position detection electrodes) forming an electrostatic capacity between them and a common electrode of a display device to detect an input position are formed on a different substrate from substrates configuring the display device. Moreover, a polarizing plate and the substrate on which the plurality of detection electrodes are formed are adhesively fixed via, for example, an adhesive layer so that the plurality of detection electrodes are fixed so as to be separated apart from the display device. Thus, a distance between electrodes (the detection electrode and a driving electrode) for detecting an input position can be set separately from a thickness of the display device, and therefore, reduction in detection sensitivity (detection reliability) for the input position due to increase in the electrostatic capacity can be suppressed.
