    摘要: An electronic door lock is operable to control access to an access controlled area adjacent the inner side of a door. The door lock includes an outer base, an inner base, a locking mechanism movable between a locked and unlocked position in response to a control signal, and a control circuit disposed within the inner base and operable to generate the control signal in response to the presentation of an input credential. A plurality of different types of credential readers are each selectively attachable and removable from an attachment interface when the outer base is attached to the door to electrically connect the selected one of the plurality of different types of credential readers to the control circuit. The selected credential reader receives data from a user or credential and generates the input credential. A communication module is operable to communicate with a device separate from the electronic door lock.

    摘要: A method for beveling a thin glass plate by simultaneously grinding an edge of the glass using multiple abrasive cup wheels, wherein the edge of the glass plate is extended from the fixturing device. The extension of the glass plate allows the glass plate to bend in response to forces applied by the abrasive cup wheels, thereby reducing the sensitivity of the grinding process to variations in position of the abrasive wheels. The axes of rotation of the abrasive wheels are separated by a distance selected to prevent deflection in the glass plate caused by a first abrasive wheel to influence the deflection in the glass plate caused by a second (adjacent) abrasive wheel.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system and method that enables a user to save locations (e.g., addresses, landmarks, etc.) to a central storage location system from within third party applications and then automatically have access to saved location information on registered, client devices, including navigational devices. Third party applications send saved locations, as well as information identifying the applicable users, to a central storage location system. The central storage location system stores location information associated with each saved location in a database (e.g., address and corresponding geocodes). Each location is saved in association with a unique ID corresponding to the user that saved the location. The central storage location system provides each saved location to registered client devices associated with the user that saved the location.

    摘要: The invention provides an electronic door lock for a door having a first side and a second side. The electronic door lock includes a locking mechanism, a credential reader, and a programmable control circuit. The locking mechanism is coupled to the door and is movable between a locked position in which the door is inhibited from opening and an unlocked position in which the door is free to open. The credential reader is coupled to the door and is operable to read a credential. The programmable control circuit is coupled to the door and is operable to move the locking mechanism between the locked position and the unlocked position at least partially in response to the read credential. The programmable control circuit is selectively programmed to move the locking mechanism to a pre-selected either one of the locked position and the unlocked position in response to a failure signal.

    摘要: Disclosed is a plastic boat hull and a method for making a plastic boat hull by roto-molding a thermoplastic material in a mold cavity. The resultant boat hull in a preferred embodiment has an upper hull portion which is identical to the lower hull portion. The forebody, in a preferred embodiment is identical to the afterbody except that one is rotated 90.degree. with respect to the other about the longitudinal axis of the hull. The boat hull shape provides for minimal weight, windage and surface area. The vessel has a wave-piercing bow which creates an asymmetric water plane even though the forebody and afterbody are conceptually identical. The asymmetric water plane reduces pitching of the hull in rough water. In a preferred embodiment, two smaller hulls and one larger hull are combined with cross beams to form a trimaran sailboat.

    摘要: An electronic door lock mounts to a door and includes an inner side and an outer side. The electronic door lock is operable to control access to an access controlled area positioned adjacent the inner side of the door. The electronic door lock includes an outer base connected to the outer side of the door, an inner base connected to the inner side of the door, a locking mechanism coupled to the door and movable between a locked position and an unlocked position in response to a control signal, and a control circuit disposed within the inner base and operable to generate the control signal in response to an input credential. An attachment interface is at least partially formed as part of the outer base. Each of a plurality of different types of credential readers is selectively attachable and removable from the attachment interface when the outer base is attached to the door to electrically connect a selected one of the plurality of different types of credential readers to the control circuit to provide the input. A communication module is connected to the control circuit, and the communication module is operable to communicate with a device that is separate from the electronic door lock.
