摘要: When human users traverse physical space or traverse computer software, they take “navigational paths.” Some embodiments of the present invention are directed to machine logic for identifying a favorable navigation paths by monitoring physical or computer software navigation paths used by human users as they use a set of computer program(s). This favorable navigation path, through physical space or the logic of the set of computer program(s), can then be suggested to future users who want to navigate from a similar starting point to a similar end point.

摘要: A method (and structure) to connect a mobile device to a local Wi-Fi network includes providing an input capability for a user of the mobile device to request to make a connection to a local Wi-Fi network. A processor on the mobile device retrieves, from a memory device of the mobile device, a listing of registered local Wi-Fi networks available at the user's current location. A request to connect to a selected one of the registered local Wi-Fi networks listed on the retrieved listing of registered local Wi-Fi networks is transmitted from the mobile device. The mobile device is connected to the selected registered local Wi-Fi network upon receipt of an indication by the selected registered local Wi-Fi network that the user has been validated and verified as trustable.

摘要: A method for automatically generating enhancements to audio-visual (AV) content, a content manager, and a computer program product. One embodiment may comprise, by a processing unit, analyzing data about consumer interactions to generate consumer insights about the original AV content, automatically associating the consumer insights with a segment of original AV content, automatically generating content for the segment responsive to the consumer insights, and injecting the generated content into the original AV content to create modified AV content. The embodiment may further comprise, by a network interface, receiving data about consumer interactions with original AV content and automatically transmitting the modified AV content.

摘要: Advising on computer software upgrade decisions for enterprise software by analyzing respective vendor information correlated to influences from user data including periodically checking for vendor software updates for selected software programs. A plurality of factors are assessed for software update risks, and the factors include dimensions of importance of each of the factors. Opinion and comments from users on public websites are collected regarding the software and the software updates. Each of the dimensions for each of one or more factors for a selected software program are weighted. The weighting is based on an importance for each of the dimensions for a respective user. A risk score is calculated based on the assessed software update risk for each dimension which includes the weighting of each of the dimensions, and a notification is sent to a user recommending the software upgrade or not based on the risk score.

摘要: One or more computer processors receive a patch request containing a testing requirement for a target platform. The one or more computer processors create a plurality of clusters containing a plurality of previously patched platforms associated with the target platform. The one or more computer processors calculate a similarity index of previously patched platforms and the target platform utilizing the created plurality of clusters, wherein the similarity index represents a similarity between the target platform and the plurality of patched platforms. The one or more computer processors adjust the testing requirement utilizing one or more similar platforms that are determined by the calculated similarity index and associated testing requirements. The one or more computer processors execute the requested patch utilizing the adjusted testing requirement.

摘要: A benchmark generating system is presented. The system monitors an execution of a computer program to collect performance traces for one or more load metrics. The system generates a program model based on the collected performance traces. Each state of the program model corresponds to a workload level at one load metric or a combination of workload levels at the two or more load metrics. The system also generates one or more workload models based on the collected performance traces. Each workload model is configured to generate simulated workload for one load metric of the one or more load metrics at a workload level that is determined based on a state of the program model. The system provides the generated program model and the generated workload models as a benchmark of the computer program.

摘要: Preventing the loss of physical objects using cognitive computing includes receiving, by a wearable device, information associated with a user of the wearable device. The information received includes one or more gestures to be used as a digital handshake and at least one physical object to be tracked. A set of models associated with the at least one physical object is downloaded to the wearable device. In response to an activation command, the wearable device performs the digital handshake with the at least one object to be tracked. The wearable device continuously monitors actions and movements performed by the user to determine whether the at least one physical object is in possession of the user.

摘要: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for processing vehicle accident information. Selected information is collected from a sensor system for a vehicle to form initial accident information in response to detecting an accident involving the vehicle. A first assessment of a severity of the accident is determined using the initial accident information. A vehicle notification of the accident is sent by the computer system onto a distributed network. A set of client devices located within a selected distance from the vehicle is searched for in response to the vehicle notification of the accident. Additional accident information is requested from the set of client devices when the set of client devices are present within the selected distance from the vehicle. A second assessment of the severity of the accident is determined using the initial accident information and the additional accident information received from the set of client devices.

An update is received from a software supplier, the update including one or more patches that at least one of correct bugs, correct security vulnerabilities, or introduce at least one new functionality for virtual machines using software of the software supplier for which the update affects and is applicable. It is determined, using a processor on a computer, whether a virtual machine image, stored in a library and used as a template for instantiating virtual machines and affected by the received update, should be updated immediately in accordance with the received update. The virtual machine image is updated if it is determined that such immediate update should be implemented.

Based on a logic combination of the plurality of signals, the mobile device may detect its status indicating one of different scenarios. Based on the detected mobile device status and a configured policy, the mobile device may determine a type of deletion action for deleting data on the mobile device. The mobile device may perform the determined type of deletion action.
