Abstract: A method for WTRU autonomous resource selection may comprise receiving a TX resource pool for D2D communication from a base station. The WTRU may sense one or more resources of the TX resource pool and determine resources for transmission of control information and D2D data, based on the sensing. The WTRU may then transmit, to another WTRU, the control information and the D2D data on the determined resources.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for a WTRU to act as a mobile relay, the method comprising the WTRU connecting to the network, the WTRU receiving a message from the network indicating that the WTRU is to act as a mobile relay for one or more devices outside of the coverage of the network, the WTRU discovering one or more devices outside of the coverage of the network, and the WTRU receiving a message from the out-of-coverage device that indicates that the out-of-coverage device has selected the WTRU to act as a mobile relay.

Abstract: Systems, methods and instrumentalities may be provided for handling a user plane in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system may be characterized by a flexible air interface. One aspect of the flexible air interface is that transmissions by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in the system may have different quality of service (QOS) requirements, such as different latency requirements. The WTRU may adjust its behaviors based on the QoS requirements, e.g., by utilizing preconfigured resources, resource requests, self-scheduling, and/or the like, such that the transmissions may be performed in accordance with their respective QoS requirements.

Abstract: Logical channel (LCH) may be multiplexed together based on one or more latency requirements. Mapping of LCH(s) to spectrum operating mode(s) (SOM(s)) may be based on SOM capability and/or LCH requirements. A WTRU may determine mapping based on one or more pre-defined rules. The mapping may be based on one or more requirements for the various type of traffic and/or SOM capabilities. A radio bearer may be mapped to one or more SOMs. The WTRU may be configured with a set of SOMs, for one or more, or each, radio bearer. The WTRU may dynamically determine, for example based on radio conditions, buffer status and/or other parameters, the SOM to use. Incompatible multiplexing of LCH may be reduced and/or avoided, perhaps based on using one or more transport blocks (TBs) mapped to the same physical layer (PHY). Traffic may be prioritized based on one or more latency requirements.

Abstract: Embodiments contemplate wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmissions of different types of uplink channels and/or signals in a system deployment where multiple destination points may exist. Some embodiments contemplate that a WTRU may select the destination point of a transmission on a dynamic basis. Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

The WTRU may transmit the D2D data, wherein the D2D data may be transmitted on the selected SA resources.
