    Abstract: Device for mixing and distributing fluids for a downflow catalytic reactor, comprising: a collecting zone (A) comprising a collecting means (5); a substantially vertical collecting pipe and at least one injection means (8) opening into said collecting pipe; a mixing zone (B) comprising a fluid mixing chamber (15) of length L1, said mixing zone (15) comprising a first end in communication with said collecting pipe and a second end in communication with a fluid exchange chamber (16) of length L2, situated beneath said mixing chamber (15), the length L2 of said exchange chamber (16) being strictly greater than the length L1 of said mixing chamber (15); a distribution zone (C), situated beneath the mixing zone (B), comprising a distribution plate (12) that carries a plurality of chimneys (13), and a plurality of horizontal panels (33), situated above or on the chimneys (13).

    Abstract: The invention concerns a collector assembly (8) for a gaseous fluid suitable for being disposed in a reaction section with a moving bed of catalyst of a radial reactor. The collector assembly comprises a vertical cylindrical screen (9), permeable to gas and impermeable to particles of catalyst, and a vertical cylindrical tube (10) which is supported by this screen (9) and disposed in a concentric manner with respect to the screen. The tube (10) comprises one or more zones (17a, 17b) which are permeable to gaseous fluid, comprising a plurality of through holes and a plurality of zones (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) with a reduced permeability to gaseous fluid compared with the permeable zone. Each zone with a reduced permeability has a porosity, defined as the ratio between total permeable surface area of the zone and total developed surface area of this zone, in the range 0 to 0.005.

    Abstract: A device for mixing fluids for a downflow catalytic reactor (1), having at least one substantially horizontal collector (5) provided with a substantially vertical collection conduit (7) receiving fluids collected by said collector (5); an injector (8) injecting a quench fluid opening into said collection conduit (7); a mixing chamber (9) located downstream of the collector (5) in the direction of movement of the fluids, having an inlet end connected directly to the collection conduit (7) and an outlet end (10) evacuating the fluids; and a pre-distribution plate (11) having a plurality of perforations and at least one riser (13), being located downstream of said mixing chamber (9) in the direction of movement of the fluids; the section of the mixing chamber (9) is a parallelogram and has at least one deflector (15) over at least one of the four internal walls of the mixing chamber (9) with a parallelogram section.
