摘要: A process for blending a hydrocarbon-based composition that includes combining a first heated water stream with a first hydrocarbon-based composition comprising asphaltene to create a first combined feed stream and allowing the first heated water stream and the first hydrocarbon-based composition to interact such that the second combined feed stream comprises micelles and reverse micelles, thereby preventing asphaltene aggregation. The process further includes similarly combining a second heated water stream with a second hydrocarbon-based composition to form a second combined feed stream. The process further includes introducing the first combined feed stream and the second combined stream into a supercritical blending vessel operating at a temperature greater than a critical temperature of water and a pressure greater than a critical pressure of water, and blending the first combined feed stream and the second combined stream to form a blended hydrocarbon-based composition.

摘要: Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a container assembly configured to receive beverage, such as a milk. The container assembly can be removably engaged with a base. The container assembly can be temporarily removed from the base to facilitate transport of the beverage residing therein. The container assembly can be configured to receive a flow of steam, air, or additional gasses and vapors when the container assembly is mounted on the base.

摘要: Foam dispensing systems and methods are disclosed. Such systems and methods may include a foamed material dispenser, a dynamic mixer having a gas input, a process material input, and a foamed material output. The foamed material output may be in fluid communication with the foamed material dispenser. A pump having an output may be in fluid communication with the process material input of the dynamic mixer, and a gas injection valve may be in fluid communication with the gas input of the dynamic mixer. A gas pressure regulator may be coupled between the pressurized gas supply and the gas injection valve, and a gas injection cycle timer may be operatively connected to the gas injection valve, the gas injection cycle timer causing the gas injection valve to pulse open and closed to send pulses of pressurized gas into the dynamic mixer through the gas input.

摘要: An apparatus comprises a separator, a compressor, a mixer and a pump. The separator operates on an input gas mixture comprising carbon dioxide gas and one or more other gases, providing a separated carbon dioxide gas output. A compressor compresses the separated carbon dioxide gas output, providing a second output comprising at least one of gaseous carbon dioxide and liquid carbon dioxide. A mixer mixes the second output with liquid water under pressure to provide a third output comprising: at least one of liquid carbon dioxide and gaseous carbon dioxide; and water with dissolved carbon dioxide. A pump pumps the third output into an underground structure such that components of the third output react with available rock surfaces to form stable carbonates.

摘要: Embodiments described herein relate to firefighting foam generators. The generators may include a receptacle for receiving liquid. A gas supply may be provided for supplying gas into the liquid to create foam. At least one turbulence creator may be provided for creating turbulence in the receptacle. Advantageously, the firefighting foam generators create turbulence to assist with mixing the gas and liquid when creating the foam. The embodiments provide for improved mixing and evenness of foam, without foam flooding, when compared with known foam generators. The embodiments are also simple to manufacture when compared with known foam generators.
