Abstract: An optical distribution network ODN apparatus includes an optical splitting module, a control chip, a first optical port connected to the OLT, a second optical port connected to a next-level ODN apparatus, and a plurality of third photoelectric composite ports connected to the plurality of ONUs. The control chip sends a plurality of electrical signals that carry the port identification information to the plurality of corresponding ONUs. The optical splitting module performs power splitting on a first optical signal sent by the OLT to obtain a second optical signal transmitted to the next-level ODN apparatus and a plurality of third optical signals transmitted to the plurality of ONUs. The optical splitting module can be further configured to separately receive upstream optical signals of the plurality of corresponding ONUs and to transmit the upstream optical signals carrying identification information of the ONUs to the OLT.

Abstract: In a network protection method, a network node, and a communications system provided in embodiments of the present disclosure, when signal degrade or signal fail occurs in a service transmission path, a communication status of a source node of a current protection segment is obtained, and whether to perform protection switching is determined according to the communication status of the source node and a communication status of a local communication path. This can avoid erroneous switching to some extent, thereby improving protection switching accuracy of a communications network.

Abstract: A communication system, a transmitter, and a communication method. The communication system includes M transmitters, N receivers, and an optical switch network. Both N and M are positive integers greater than 1. The optical switch network includes one or more optical switches. A plurality of optical paths are configured in the optical switch network. When the transmitter communicates with the receiver, the transmitter can determine, from the plurality of optical paths, a target optical path from a source communication node to a destination communication node. After the optical switch network receives a target optical signal sent by the transmitter, the optical switch directly sends the target optical signal to the receiver based on the target optical path.

Abstract: This application provides an optical communication system, a vehicle, and an industrial optical network, and relates to the field of optical communications. A light source module in the optical communication system can be connected to a group of first nodes separately through two carrier bearer networks. Therefore, even if either carrier bearer network is faulty, the other carrier bearer network can continue to transmit an optical carrier, thereby effectively improving reliability of optical carrier transmission, and further improving reliability of the optical communication system. In addition, because the two carrier bearer networks are independent of each other and can work simultaneously, after either carrier bearer network is faulty, no failover is needed. This can avoid interrupted transmission of the optical carrier caused by the failover, and further avoid interrupted transmission of a service optical signal.
