摘要: Described is a method of processing a signal received at an uplink control information (UCI) receiver in a wireless communication system. The method comprises processing a signal received on an uplink (UL) at said UCI receiver to transform said received signal into a likelihood calculation of possible transmitted codewords (θ1 . . . θi . . . θN) and determining a maximum magnitude θmax value from said likelihood calculation. The method includes comparing said maximum magnitude θmax value to a selected, calculated or predetermined scaled threshold S·τ where τ is a threshold and S is a scaling factor for the threshold τ. The comparison step is such that, where |θmax|2>S·τ, the method comprises determining that the signal received comprises a linear block encoded signal. In the method, prior to said comparison step, the scaling factor S is selected from a plurality of scaling factor options. One scaling factor option (i) is a scaling factor SRE derived from a combination of estimated noise and/or signal power at an output of a resource element (RE) demapper module and an estimated channel response from/before an equalizer module of said UCI receiver. The options also include using a combination of SRE and a suitable scaling factor derived excluding option (i).

For example, the systems, devices, and methods described herein may be used to detecting a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) index. In an aspect of the present disclosure, a method includes detecting, at an electronic device, a first SSS index based on a comparison between a first power value and a first threshold. The first power value is associated with a correlation power result between a received signal from a base station and a local SSS. The method also include determining, at the electronic device, a second threshold based on the first power value, and performing a comparison between a second power value and the second threshold. The second power value is determined based on the received signal.

The method comprises receiving a linear block encoded signal on an uplink at said UCI receiver and processing the received signal after resource element (RE) demapping to generate a soft bit sequence s. The method includes selecting a plurality of bits in said generated soft bit sequence s as comparison bits and comparing said selected comparison bits to corresponding bits in a reconstructed soft bit sequence r. The reconstructed soft bit sequence r is generated from a plurality of bits selected as reconstruction bits in said generated soft bit sequence s. A comparison or correlation metric is determined between the comparison bits and the corresponding bits in the reconstructed soft bit sequence r, and a determination is made of the occurrence of a DTX state by evaluating the determined comparison or correlation metric.

摘要: Described is a method of decoding a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). The method comprises: for a PSCCH candidate in a resource grid, processing a received demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a subframe of said resource grid associated with said PSCCH candidate to determine one or more potential PSCCHs for decoding, each of said one or more potential PSCCHs being identified by resource block (RB) position in the resource grid and a corresponding DMRS cyclic shift (ncs) value. The foregoing step is repeated for at least one other DMRS in said subframe to determine one or more potential PSCCHs for said at least one other DMRS. Then, a subset L of PSCCHs is selected from said potential PSCCHs whereby said selected subset L of PSCCHs together with their corresponding DMRS cyclic shift (ncs) values are made available for use in a decoding process for the received channel signal.

摘要: Systems and methods which provide for accurate decoding of a received channel signal when station identifier information is unknown. Embodiments accurately decode a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), such as to obtain downlink control information (DCI), without knowing radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) information. An unknown station identifier information (USII) of embodiments uses redundancy reduction-based error checking (performing error checking between data decoded from a candidate control channel data block containing redundant data and a portion of that candidate control channel data block containing redundancy reduced data) for implementing decoding when station identifier information is unknown. Embodiments of a USII decoder may use a power detection technique for identifying candidate control channel data blocks used in redundancy reduction-based error checking operation.

The soft bit sequence is then transformed into multiple sub-sequences. Correlation metrics are determined for two or more of the multiple sub-sequences or two or more sub-sequence groups derived from the multiple sub-sequences or sequence segments derived from the sub-sequence groups. Then, a determination is made if a DTX state has occurred by evaluating the determined correlation metrics.
