Abstract: A door structure for a vehicle is provided. A door beam includes an arch-shaped beam body in which a center in a longitudinal direction bulges more outward in a vehicle width direction than a front end part and a rear end part attached to an inner panel, and a bracket interposed between the front end part of the beam body and the inner panel. A rigidity of the bracket is lower than a rigidity of the beam body. At least a portion of the inner panel to which the rear end part of the beam body is attached is opposed to a member on a vehicle body side located on the inner side in the vehicle width direction, with a gap in the vehicle width direction being present therebetween.

Abstract: A bumper cross member for a motor vehicle is produced from an extruded hollow profile and has a front side forming an impact side, a rear side in opposition to the front side, end zones configured for connection to the motor vehicle, a central zone extending between the end zones and bent toward the impact side, and top and bottom sides connecting the rear side with the front side. Each of the top and bottom skies has a projecting flange which is separated from the rear side by a separation cut configured to end shy of the end zones so that the flanges are connected with the bumper cross member in the end zones.

Abstract: A vehicle body including side is provided. The vehicle body includes left and right side frames that extend in a vehicle body forward-rearward direction and support a collision load acting from the front or the rear, and a coupling member that is joined to open ends of the side frames and restricts displacement between the open ends in a direction in which the open ends are away from each other. The side frame has a plurality of low-strength sections disposed with high-strength sections interposed therebetween in the vehicle body forward-rearward direction and having a lower strength than the high-strength sections in the vehicle body forward-rearward direction. The low-strength section closer to the open end has a lower strength in the forward-rearward direction.
