Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may access an assignment of a component connected to a downstream USB port, from among a plurality of downstream USB ports that are downstream of a display device, to a first physical host device from among a plurality of physical host devices connected to the display device via respective upstream USB ports. The apparatus may bind, based on the assignment, the downstream USB port to a first upstream USB port that connects the first physical host device to the display device. The binding may cause the component to be coupled to the first physical host device. The apparatus facilitates assignment of individual components connected to downstream USB ports to one of a plurality of upstream USB ports.

Abstract: Contextual zooming includes determining an area of interest on a display screen based on eye-tracking of a user. The area of interest may be represented as a set of coordinate points of a display signal. Contextual zooming also includes determining that a distance between the user and the display screen changes by a threshold amount. Scaling the display signal to expand the set of coordinate points on the display screen causes the area of interest to zoom.

The apparatus includes a video camera to capture an image of a participant on a video call, an ambient light sensor to detect light, and a processor communicatively coupled to the video camera, the memory, and the ambient light sensor. The processor is to identify a portion of a video image of the video call that includes the image of the participant, detect a type of light on the participant based on the light detected by the ambient light sensor, and perform a light compensation to match a color range of the image of the participant and a color range of a background image selected for the video call based on the type of light that is detected.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for modifying the state of headphones is disclosed. For example, a system may include a pair of headphones in a first state and a headphone assembly physically connecting the pair of headphones. The system may also include a local authenticator located in the pair of headphones to switch the headphones to a second state in response to a user providing authentication to the pair of headphones by interacting with the biometric sensor.
