摘要： A pair of parallel conveyor belts 20, 21 are spaced apart less than the width of a web 11 of packaging material to be transported, but greater than the width of a package to be wrapped in blanks 10 severed from the web. Suction holes 24 in the inner edges of the belts hold the overlapping outer edges of the web. A transverse knife 27 slightly wider than the web passes through oblong cutouts 30, 31 in the inner edges of the belts to sever the blanks, which are subsequently U-wrapped around packages 13 individually pushed between the belts.

摘要： An apparatus for packaging cigarettes includes a magazine 35 for supplying cigarette groups 23 to pockets 71 of a first revolver 66, whereafter they are transferred into foil lined pockets 74 of a second revolver 67 and then into paper lined pockets 91 of a third revolver 68. The revolvers are continuously driven, and the groups are always oriented with their wide front or rear faces outermost in the pockets to implement smooth tangential transfer between the revolvers. A curved stripper and guide bar 94 enters through the sides of the first revolver pockets to transfer the groups to the second revolver. Transfer between the second and third revolvers is made by simultaneously decreasing the radial depth of the second revolver pockets and increasing the radial depth of the third revolver pockets at a transfer station 89.

摘要： A mechanism for engaging a resting bobbin 10 carrying a web of packaging material and raising it into a rotatable web withdrawal position. A pair of bent yoke arms 17,18 straddling the bobbin carry lateral clamping jaws 14,15 at their one ends. Their other ends are movably pivotally mounted to a plate 11 by a pair of support plates 29,30 and a pair of lifting plates 25,26, the latter being eccentrically coupled to meshing drive gears 20,21. The continuous rotation of the gears successively pivots the jaw ends of the yoke arms inwardly to engage the bobbin, and thereafter raises the arms and bobbin into the working position.

摘要： An apparatus for transporting and emptying containers or trays of cigarettes including a pair of carrier arms which are adapted to recieve the containers and pivot them through a 180.degree. angle such that the cigarettes may be emptied through an opening provided in the top of the container. After the container is emptied, the carrier is operable to return the container to its starting position, after which the carrier arms retract from the container so as to allow the same to be transported away. The carrier arms then return to the starting position to receive another container.

摘要： Apparatus for producing discrete blanks from a web of foil or the like is provided, in which the foil or the like are given continuous constrained guidance during the phase between separation of the web until transfer to a packet or packing machine. The web is transported into the system between a first pair of pulling rollers then transferred to a conveyor of two spaced belts. The belts are provided with a series of apertures through which a suction is pulled to hold the transported web. The belts diverge slightly and pull the web at a higher speed than the first pair of rollers so that the web is stretched both lengthwise and transversely. Severance from the web is carried out in at least one initial cut, followed by a main cut, during continuous constrained guidance.
