Abstract: The application provides an optical network apparatus and an optical module. The optical network apparatus is configured to: convert, by a processing chip, the received N electrical signals from a board interface chip into a first electrical signal and a second electrical signal; and send the above two electrical signals to a first optical transmission component and a second optical transmission component, respectively; convert, by the first optical transmission component, the first electrical signal into a first optical signal; and convert, by the second optical transmission component, the second electrical signal into a second optical signal. The N to-be-sent electrical signals are combined, and only two optical transmission components are connected to the processing chip. Therefore, the processing chip does not need to be connected to four optical transmission components, fewer optical transmission components are required, and costs are reduced.

Abstract: This application discloses a method and an apparatus for adjusting a bandwidth of a transmission channel in flexible Ethernet. When the bandwidth of the transmission channel needs to be increased, bandwidths of all nodes are successively increased based on a direction reverse to a flow direction of service data, and when the bandwidth of the transmission channel needs to be decreased, bandwidths of all nodes are successively decreased based on the flow direction of the service data. In this way, a probability of a loss of service data transmitted from upstream to downstream is reduced in a process of adjusting the bandwidth of the transmission channel, and this improves reliability of service data transmission.

Abstract: An optical module includes a first multiplexer/demultiplexer and an optical receiver. The first multiplexer/demultiplexer is configured to receive a first optical signal from the second network device, separate a second optical signal having a first wavelength from the first optical signal, and transfer the second optical signal to the optical receiver. The first multiplexer/demultiplexer is further configured to transfer a third optical signal that is separated from the first optical signal and that has a wavelength other than the first wavelength to the third network device. The optical receiver is configured to receive the second optical signal.

Abstract: A method for detecting an MPI noise problem. The method includes: receiving a first signal, where the first signal includes a service signal sent by a sending device and an MPI noise signal generated by an MPI noise generator, and the MPI noise generator is disposed between the sending device and a receiving device of the service signal; determining whether a packet loss occurs in the service signal; and when a packet loss occurs in the service signal, determining that there is an MPI noise problem in an optical fiber link between the sending device and the receiving device. Therefore, when a packet loss occurs in a service signal that passes through an optical fiber link between a transmit end and a receive end, it can be determined that there is an MPI noise problem in the optical fiber link.
