摘要: A vehicle rear wheel lift tendency judgment device: includes a first deceleration obtaining device for obtaining a first deceleration along a first straight line, being a component in a first direction of an acceleration on a center of gravity, and a second deceleration obtaining device for obtaining a second deceleration along a second straight line, being a component in a second direction of the acceleration; judges that a rear wheel tends to be lifted, when the first deceleration is greater in the first direction than a first threshold, or when the second deceleration is greater in the second direction than a second threshold; and performs at least one of setting for shifting the first threshold in a direction opposite to the first direction and setting for shifting the second threshold in a direction opposite to the second direction, when a second-deceleration change rate being a change amount in the second deceleration per unit time becomes greater in the second direction than a change-rate threshold, enabling a quick judgment of a rear wheel lift tendency.

摘要: In a brake device for a saddle-type vehicle, including hydraulic front and rear wheel brakes and a first control unit that controls operations of the front wheel brake and the rear wheel brake, a second control unit includes a collision possibility determining section that determines a possibility of collision of an own vehicle with an obstacle ahead, the first control unit has an automatic brake controller that performs automatic brake control to automatically increase braking forces of the front wheel brake and the rear wheel brake, and in case where the collision possibility determining section determines that there is the possibility of collision, the automatic brake controller pressurizes the rear wheel brake to brake a rear wheel, and simultaneously pressurizes the front wheel brake up to a predetermined pressure at which a vehicle body posture is not changed by braking of a front wheel.

摘要: A saddle-riding vehicle includes a front wheel suspension device which supports a steering wheel (front wheel) and a steering handle (bar handle 4), a chassis frame which supports the front wheel suspension device to be steerable, a handle lock mechanism 60 which locks the steering of the front wheel suspension device with respect to the chassis frame at a predetermined handle lock position P1, a steering actuator 43 which applies an assist torque to the front wheel suspension device, and a control device 23 which controls the driving of the steering actuator 43. The control device 23 operates the steering actuator 43 so that the front wheel suspension device is turned to the handle lock position P1 when detecting a predetermined lock standby state.

摘要: When an external detection device detects an obstacle (another vehicle (T)) on either a left or right side of the own vehicle (M), a control device of a steering assistance device for a saddle type vehicle controls an assist torque so that a handle operation to the side opposite to the side on which the obstacle is detected becomes heavier (more difficult to turn) than a case in which the obstacle is not detected. The handle operation to the side on which the obstacle is detected makes a handle relatively light (makes it easier to turn) while steering assist is maintained.
