    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to packet capture for a multi-link device. In the implementations, an access point (AP) obtains a media access control (MAC) address of a multi-link device (MLD) to be monitored. Further, the AP determines a plurality of links of the MLD to be monitored based on the MAC address. Based on the MAC address of the MLD, the AP captures packets transmitted by the AP MLD on the plurality of links, as a monitor AP. For each of the captured packets, the AP inserts the MAC address of the MLD into an MLD MAC field in a packet capture headroom associated with the packet. In this way, the present disclosure can support flexible packet capture (PCAP) for a specific MLD instead of for a specific link.

    Abstract: In implementations of the present disclosure, a retry mechanism for access point multi-link device is provided. An access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) detects a trigger condition for a retry on a first link. After detecting the trigger condition, the AP MLD further selects a second link from a plurality of links. The AP MLD then selects a retry mode from a plurality of retry modes for the second link, and transmits a retry packet on the second link using the selected retry mode. Implementations of the present disclosure can fully utilize the MLD properties to help speed up the transmissions of the retry frames, and can reduce the channel occupation and increase the channel utilization of the retry frames.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for increasing power save efficiency of stations within a wireless communications network. An access point (AP) can receive one or more session requests to establish a session from a station, each session request including one or more requested session parameters. The AP can set the session parameters to ensure that a session period of each requested session does not overlap two or more target beacon transmission time (TBTT) frames. The AP can merge two or more session periods of the one or more sessions by calculating a session period offset to align the end time of two or more session periods. Merging the two or more session periods minimizes the total wake time of the station.

    Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided for performing a frame processing operation on a broadcast/multicast frame at a physical access point (AP). A pre-processing operation is performed on the frame at a protocol layer between a physical layer and an upper layer of the AP to obtain a pre-processed frame. The pre-processing operation comprises a common operation to be performed for the plurality of virtual interfaces at the protocol layer. In this way, by performing a pre-processing operation common to the virtual interfaces supported by the physical AP, the consumption of resources caused by the performance of repeated operations in the frame processing operation can be reduced.

    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to parallel channel switching for mesh network. In the implementations, a first access point (AP) receives a first beacon including an indication of a first channel switch count (CSC) for a first link between the first AP and the second AP from a second AP. The first AP obtains a second CSC for a second link between the first AP and a station. Then, the first AP transmits a second beacon including an indication of the second CSC to the station and within a beacon interval of the second AP upon receipt of the first beacon. In this way, the idle time period for the channel switching procedure of the mesh network can be reduced and minimized, thereby improving the Wi-Fi mesh link stability and reducing the latency.

    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to selecting a transmitting virtual access point (VAP) for a MBSSID set. A method comprises selecting a VAP from a set of VAPs as a transmitting VAP based on context information about the set of VAPs, at least one of the set of VAPs other than the transmitting VAP being determined as at least one non-transmitting VAP The method also comprises generating a beacon frame for the set of VAPs by including an identifier of the transmitting VAP in a header part of the beacon frame and including at least one identifier of the at least one non-transmitting VAP in a payload part of the beacon frame. A generated beacon frame is broadcasted. In this way, a transmitting VAP of a set of VAPs is no longer determined by default, but can be selected for different cases.

    Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided for managing a mesh point. A request is transmitted from a mesh point to a mesh portal, and the request indicates that Reduced Neighbor Report (RNR) information is required. A beacon with the RNR information is received from the mesh portal. A mesh link is established with a target mesh portal based on the beacon with the RNR information. Therefore, the time cost and the data communication of a scanning procedure of the mesh point may be greatly reduced. Further, communications in the scanning procedure are lowered, such that conflicts in the air may be alleviated.
