Abstract:
A friction reduction assembly for a downhole tubular. The friction reduction assembly includes an electrically activated friction reduction sub. The sub includes a flowbore fluidically connected to a flowbore of the tubular and remaining open for fluid flow therethrough during both activated and non-activated states of the friction reduction sub. A friction reducer responsive to an indication of lockup of the tubular, wherein friction between the tubular and surrounding casing or borehole is reduced in an electrically activated state of the friction reduction sub. A method of reducing friction in a downhole tubular is also included.

Abstract:
A bottom hole assembly supported by coiled tubing has components attached to each other with quick connections that do not require threading to provide the integral connection capable of supporting the BHA's required, torque, tensile and pressure loads. This quick connect feature provides torque transmission capability and does not need rig equipment such as tongs for makeup. Connecting the components is faster and safer particularly when the connections have to be made well above a rig floor. The lower end of the coiled tubing connector can also be provided with a quick connection half to mate with the uppermost tool in the bottom hole assembly.
Abstract:
A method for plugging a downhole wellbore including, running an anchor and swellable seal disposed at a mandrel within the downhole wellbore, setting the anchor within the downhole wellbore, releasing the anchor and the swellable seal, and swelling the swellable seal into contact with another downhole structure.

Abstract:
A downhole tool includes a thru-tubing high expansion, elastomeric inflatable seal and a thru-tubing mechanical anchoring arrangement. A method for separating pressure in a wellbore including actuating a mechanical anchoring system of a thru-tubing downhole tool; inflating a high expansion inflatable elastomeric seal against the tubing subsequent to actuating said mechanical anchor.
Abstract:
A downhole tool assembly includes a tubular having a flowbore extending along a longitudinal axis of the tubular. An electric actuating mechanism supported by the tubular and distanced from the longitudinal axis of the tubular; and, a valve assembly connected to the tubular and fluidically connected to the flowbore. The valve assembly including: an outer portion having at least one port; and an electrically actuated inner portion concentrically positioned within the outer portion and operable by the actuating mechanism to selectively block the at least one port in a first condition of the valve assembly and unblock the at least one port in a second condition of the valve assembly. A method of actuating a valve assembly in a downhole tubular.
