摘要: Force sensing apparatus is provided for sensing deflection of a transducer in an ultrasonic welding machine. The apparatus includes a body member, a transducer holder and a force sensor. The transducer holder is adapted to hold an ultrasonic transducer and the transducer holder is fixed to the body member. The force sensor is located between adjacent surfaces of the body member and the transducer holder to sense a force applied between the surfaces.

摘要: Force sensing apparatus is provided for sensing deflection of a transducer (8) in an ultrasonic welding machine. The apparatus includes a body member (2), a transducer holder (1) and a force sensor (4). The transducer holder (1) is adapted to hold an ultrasonic transducer (8) and the transducer holder (1) is fixed to the body member (2). The force sensor (4) is located between adjacent surfaces (11, 12) of the body member (2) and the transducer holder (1) to sense a force applied between the surfaces (11, 12).

摘要: A die ejector system and method for removing a die from an adhesive surface. The system includes an ejector tool that is operative to move relative to the die whereby to push the die. The ejector tool may consist of a collet holder and an ejector pin array. A shaft holds the ejector tool and is in turn coupled to a forcer of a linear motor. The forcer is movable relative to a stator of the linear motor flexure bearings coupled to the shaft guide movement of the ejector tool relative to the die. After the die is pushed by the ejector tool, a die pick-up device removes the die from the adhesive surface.

摘要: The invention provides a motor system and a method for positioning a load. The system comprises support means such as an XY table for supporting the load. A first motor and a second motor cooperate to drive the load, whereby the first motor is adapted to provide higher thrust than the second motor and the second motor is adapted to deliver higher positioning accuracy than the first motor during a positioning sequence to position the load.

摘要: A direct drive robotic manipulator is provided which includes a plurality of segments that are rotatably coupled with respect to one another. A plurality of spindles connects the segments for relative rotation therebetween, and a plurality of direct drive assemblies is further coupled to the plurality of spindles. Each direct drive assembly encloses an end of a spindle and comprises a rotor assembly to which the spindle is attached for manipulating the spindle. A positional measurement apparatus may also be included at each direct drive assembly to ascertain an angular disposition of a segment relative to an adjoining segment.

摘要: A linear actuator for a motion system is provided with a velocity sensor for monitoring a velocity of an actuation arm that it is driving. The linear actuator comprises a magnetic field, a first coil that is controllably movable within the magnetic field by adjusting a current flowing through the first coil whereby to drive the actuation arm and a second coil that is movable with the first coil and configured such that a voltage is inducible in the second coil that is proportional to its velocity. A controller device is connected to the second coil for receiving feedback indicating the voltage induced in the second coil whereby a velocity of the actuation arm is determinable, wherein the controller device is further connected to the first coil and is operative to adjust the current flowing in the first coil based upon said feedback for controllably driving the actuation arm.

摘要: The invention provides an apparatus and a method for positioning an object coupled to a first support structure and a second support structure. A first actuator drives the first support structure along a first axis and a second actuator drives the first support structure along a second axis orthogonal to the first axis. A third actuator comprising a forcer and a stator is provided for driving the second support structure that is guided for movement relative to the first support structure along a third axis orthogonal to the first and second axes. The forcer is coupled to the second support structure and is movable with respect to the stator, and the stator is relatively stationary and decoupled from the second support structure.

摘要: A linear switched reluctance motor comprises a movable coil bracket including first and second coil assemblies. Each of the first and second coil assemblies further comprises a plurality of coils separately wound around a plurality of motor coil cores, each of the coils being configured to receive a sinusoidal current at a different phase from other coils comprised in the same coil assembly. Tooth members of a stator track are located adjacent to the motor coil cores such that a magnetic flux path is created which passes through the motor coil core, the stator track and an air gap between the motor coil core and the stator track. A multiple-phase motor driver electrically connected to the first and second coil assemblies generates symmetric multiple-phase sinusoidal currents for driving the motor.

摘要: A system for maintaining thermal stability of a motion stage driven by a motor comprises a motion current generator operative to produce a motion current to drive the motion stage to move and a thermal current generator operative to produce a thermal current to dissipate heat in the motion stage for controlling a temperature of the motion stage without producing corresponding movement of the motion stage. A summation controller is operative to combine the motion current with the thermal current, and to produce a combined current output to the motor.
