摘要： A process is provided for producing coated synthetic bodies during which, before the coating, the surface to be coated is subjected to a pretreatment in an excited gas atmosphere. The surface is then coated. The gas atmosphere is predominantly formed of a noble gas and nitrogen and/or hydrogen, and the ionic energy in the gas atmosphere and in the are of the surface to be coated is not more than 50 eV. The ionic energy is selected to be not more than 20 eV, preferable not more than 10 eV. The gas atmosphere is excited by means of a plasma discharge or by means of UV radiation.

摘要： An adapter system to connect a main shaft (9) of an electric motor to a device to be driven, in particular to a pinion of a gearing, is disclosed. The system comprises an adapter shaft (10) with a pinion attachment (11) on a first end, for rotationally stable connection to the pinion. A housing (20) is provided with devices (21, 22) to serve as bearings for the adapter shaft (10) and with a first flange (23) for attaching the housing to the gearing and with a second flange (24) for attaching it to the motor, such that the motor is substantially firmly connected to the gearing by way of the housing (20). A coupling element (40) can be connected to the motor shaft (9) in a rotationally stable manner. On the coupling element (40) there is formed a first driving means (41, 41′) and on the adapter shaft (10) is formed a second driving means (12, 12′), which has a shape corresponding to that of the first driving means (41, 41′) and engages therewith so as to transmit a torque between the first coupling element (40) and the adapter shaft (10). The first driving means (41, 41′) is so disposed that it can move with respect to the second driving means (12, 12′) at least in a direction (y) perpendicular to the axis of rotation (x) of the adapter shaft (10) and at an angle (&agr;) with respect to the axis of rotation (x). With an adapter system constructed in this way, a plurality of different motors can be connected in a simple manner to a plurality of different devices to be driven, in particular gearings.

A periodic signal (15) from a sensor (10) is standardized by a pulse detector (20) to generate a shaped pulse sequence (25) which is inputted to a pulse interval decoder (30). The pulse interval decode (30) generates a pulse interval length signal (35) which represents the current pulse interval length at any one time. An audio signal generator (40) then produces an audible signal having characteristics such as frequency (pitch) which characterize the current pulse interval length. A system and device for carrying out the method are also described.

摘要： A PECVD coating apparatus includes a vacuum coating chamber for performing a PECVD process. At least one pair of spaced apart electrodes is positioned within the chamber and powered by an electric power supply generator to produce a plasma discharge generating voltage between the electrodes. Gas is fed between the electrodes in the chamber for producing a plasma discharge reaction that, in turn, forms a coating reaction product. A holding member is placed in the chamber for positioning one or more workpieces with their opposite surfaces at equally spaced positions from each of the electrodes of the pair of electrodes. The workpieces are electrically isolated from the chamber through the holding member so that a free floating electrical potential is maintained on the workpieces. As a result, the opposite surfaces of the workpieces are substantially identically coated in the chamber using the PECVD process.
