Abstract:
A method for tracking a user's gaze point using a mobile terminal is provided. The method includes detecting the user's eye area from a camera that is mounted in the mobile terminal and selecting reference points of the eye area, detecting a pupil corresponding to an interest area that is obtained from the reference points, generating a first virtual grid of the eye area using a pickup image of a gaze point of the pupil corresponding to each corner of the display and generating a second virtual grid having the same division areas as those of the first virtual grid in the display, and mapping a position of the pupil within the second virtual grid area corresponding to a position of the pupil within the first virtual grid.
Abstract:
A method for a communication link establishing device to establish a communication link in a targeted communication system is provided. A source terminal transmits a source terminal's identification information and threshold value information for selecting a relative angle measurement target to neighboring terminals including a target terminal, and transmits a relative angle measurement request signal to the target terminal and the neighboring terminals. Upon receipt of a response signal for the relative angle measurement request signal from at least one of the neighboring terminals including the target terminal, a communication link with the selected communication target's terminal is established based on the information contained in the response signal.
Abstract:
An apparatus for spatial filtering receives a signal transmitted from a first terminal and detects a synchronization start point in time from a transmission frame included in the signal. The apparatus for spatial filtering demodulates a user-defined sequence included in the transmission frame and the at least one SRJBF sequence when the synchronization start point in time is detected, and then estimates a relative angle based on the demodulated user-defined sequence and SRJBF sequence.
Abstract:
If a master device in device-to-device direct communication designates an object type of a target to be communicated with, transmits a target discovery request message including the object type of the target to be communicated with to a plurality of neighboring target devices, and receives a target discovery response message from one or more target devices corresponding to the object type of the target to be communicated with among the plurality of target devices, the master device determines one target device among one or more target devices as the target to be communicated with.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for enabling a device-to-device (D2D) communication, despite an identifier (ID) of a target device being unknown are provided. The apparatus may include a target device determining unit to select primary target devices based on relative distance information between a main device and a target device for communication with the main device, and to determine a final target device based on relative distance information between the main device and each of the primary target devices, a transmitter to transmit, to each of the primary target devices, a selection notification message and a relative distance information request message that are generated by the target device determining unit, and a receiver to receive, from each of the primary target devices, a response message corresponding to the selection notification message, and relative distance information used to determine a final target device.
