Provided is an information processing system implemented to allow various types of services, such as virtual reality games or augmented reality games, to be enjoyed with a perception of reality by using a single manipulation device that may be modified in various forms, and an information processing method thereof. The information processing system includes: a manipulation device including a plurality of fragments each having distinguishment information for distinguishing the plurality of fragments from each other, the manipulation device configured to provide motion information according to a manipulation of a user; and an information processing device configured to provide various types of services by reflecting the motion information received from the manipulation device and a result of processing an image of the manipulation device on basic content for a service.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and system for integrating multiple image markers to generate a single integral image marker for configuring content such as game content. The present invention proposes a method of expressing, in a global coordinate system, feature points for each image marker whose positions are expressed in their local coordinate system by calculating relative positions of the image markers and applying the calculated relative positions to the image makers other than a reference image maker to transform 3D positions of feature points in each image marker.

The emergency reporting system for the socially disadvantaged according to the present invention includes a user terminal configured to receive an emergency report input in a preset manner according to environment information set by the socially disadvantaged, generate an emergency report message, and transmit the emergency report message, and a server configured to receive the emergency report message and transmit a dispatch notification signal.

Provided are an Optical Network Unit (ONU) for low latency packet transmission in a Time Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network (TDM-PON), a method of operating the ONU, and an apparatus for controlling the ONU. The method includes: receiving, from a base station, first bandwidth allocation information regarding a bandwidth allocated by the base station to a terminal for uplink packet transmission; and transmitting a bandwidth allocation request, which is based on the received first bandwidth allocation information, to an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) before completing packet reception from the base station.

Provided is a user authentication method using a natural gesture input. The user authentication method includes recognizing a plurality of natural gesture inputs from image data of a user, determining number of the plurality of natural gesture inputs as total number of authentication steps, determining a reference ratio representing a ratio of number of authentication steps requiring authentication pass to the total number of the authentication steps, determining an actual ratio representing a ratio of number of authentication steps, where authentication has actually passed, to the total number of the authentication steps, and performing authentication on the user, based on a result obtained by comparing the actual ratio and the reference ratio.

A method of registering or de-registering, by an optical line terminal (OLT), one or more optical network units (ONUs) in an optical communications network. The method may include: setting one or more sub-channels for registration or de-registration among two or more sub-channels, and a size of a contention window in the one or more sub-channels; transmitting, to one or more ONUs, a registration information message including information of the one or more set sub-channels and the size of the contention window; receiving, through one of the set sub-channels, a registration or de-registration request message from the one or more ONUs, which receive the registration information message; and registering and de-registering the one or more ONUs.
