    Abstract: There are provided an optical receiver and a laser radar including the same. The optical receiver includes a plurality of optical detecting units configured to convert an optical signal reflected from a target into an electrical signal and to output the electrical signal, a signal combiner configured to combine output signals of the plurality of light detecting regions, a plurality of switches provided between the plurality of optical detecting units and the signal combiner, and a controller configured to control the plurality of switches so that the plurality of optical detecting units are selectively connected to the signal combiner based on whether the optical signal to reflected from the target is input. Therefore, it is possible to make a module small, to improve stability and reliability, and to reduce a signal to noise ratio.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a spectroscopic apparatus includes a laser irradiation device that receives an orthogonal code including a series of bits each having a first value or a second value, generates a control signal having a pulse that has a width shorter than a width of a bit section in the bit section corresponding to a bit having the first value, generates a pulsed laser beam having a pulse width shorter than the bit section using the pulse as a trigger, and irradiates an incident beam including the generated pulsed laser beam to a sample, and a detector that receives a detection signal generated from the sample and the orthogonal code, generates an orthogonal code signal of the same waveform as that of the incident beam, based on the orthogonal code, and demodulates a Raman signal, based on a correlation between the generated orthogonal code signal and the Raman signal.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a planar waveguide element including a first cylindrical lens disposed based on an z-axis and configured to collimate beams emitted from a plurality of emitters of a laser diode bar; a lens array configured to gather the beam emitted from each emitter via the first cylindrical lens; a plurality of first waveguides existing on an x-y plane by a number of the plurality of emitters and configured to gather at one place via a bending section; a taper configured to connect the lens array and each first waveguide, a width of the taper being narrower from the lens array to the plurality of first waveguide; and a combined waveguide configured to combine the plurality of first waveguides into one.
