Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for creating spatial augmented reality content, which enable interaction with a user. In the method, a stationary object in a real space in which a user is located is defined, and then a virtual space is generated. A dynamic object in the real space is defined, and the dynamic object is converted into a primitive object. The primitive object is arranged in the virtual space and then spatial augmented content is created. A multimedia object is paired with the primitive object, and then a virtual space object is generated. Interaction between the virtual space object and a gesture of the user is defined in a format of event script. The virtual space object and the interaction are packaged in the spatial augmented content and packaged results are provided to the user.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for generating a 3D avatar. The method, performed by the apparatus, includes performing a 3D scan of the body of a user using an image sensor and generating a 3D scan model using the result of the 3D scan of the body of the user, matching the 3D scan model and a previously stored template avatar, and generating a 3D avatar based on the result of matching the 3D scan model and the template avatar.

The apparatus for providing virtual reality-based digital optical content for digital optical devices includes a content management unit for providing at least one piece of digital optical content corresponding to a digital optical device, a content execution unit for executing an optical image corresponding to the at least one piece of digital optical content on a display screen, an adjustment data acquisition unit for acquiring optical image adjustment data that is input by a user of the digital optical device to adjust the optical image, and a virtual camera configuration provision unit for providing virtual camera configuration data corresponding to the at least one piece of digital optical content so as to adjust the optical image in correspondence with the optical image adjustment data.

An apparatus for displaying image content based on pop-up book includes: a database for storing multiple pieces of reference depth-based mesh information, acquired for each page of pop-up book where stereoscopic shapes stand when the pop-up book is opened, and image content corresponding to each page; a depth information acquisition unit for acquiring an image including depth information by capturing the current page where the stereoscopic shapes protrude as a result of opening the pop-up book at arbitrary point, and generating depth-based mesh information about the current page; and a display unit for recognizing the current page by matching the multiple reference depth-based mesh information with the depth-based mesh information about the current page, generated by the depth information acquisition unit, extracting image content corresponding to the recognized current page from the database, and projecting it onto the current page.
