The terminal block (10) serves for electrically connecting a connection line having at least two conductors (L1, L2) and extending externally of an electronics housing (H). The terminal block comprises a platform (100) composed at least partially of an electrically insulating, synthetic material, especially a synthetic material having a dielectric strength sufficient to meet European standard EN 60947-1, a connection terminal (TI) arranged on a first side of the platform forming a first connection side of the terminal block and serving for connection of a conductor (L1) of the connection line as well as at least one connection terminal (T2) arranged on the first side of the platform, laterally spaced from the connection terminal (T1) for connection of a conductor (L2) of the connection line. Additionally, the terminal block comprises a connection contactor (J1) arranged on a second side of the platform forming a second connection side of the terminal block, e.g. especially a connection contactor embodied as a contact pin or as a contact jack, as well as a connection contactor (J2) arranged on the second side of the platform and laterally spaced from the connection contactor (J1), e.g. a connection contactor embodied as a contact pin or as a contact jack.

A converter circuit serves to transform a digital measuring signal representing the chronological sequence of a periodically changing physical and/or chemical measurand into an analogue measure value signal dependent on the digital measuring signal with a signal current, an amperage of which represents a measuring value for the measurand. For this purpose the converter circuit comprises a current interface with a control input, with a current signal output and a current output. In addition, the converter circuit comprises a micro-processor with a measuring signal input for the digital measuring signal, with a current signal input connected to the current signal output of the current interface, and with a control output connected to the control input of the current interface. The current interface is designed to let the signal current flow through the current output and simultaneously adjust both the amperage to a stationary amperage level corresponding to a control value currently applied to the control input, and to output a sequence of current values at the current signal output. Furthermore, the micro-processor is designed to generate a measuring value sequence on the basis of the digital measuring signal and use it as the basis from which to generate a control value sequence and issue it at the control output as well as to monitor and/or check the current interface using the control value sequence and the current value sequence.

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for reducing power loss in the case of an active electrical current output of a field device for determining and/or influencing a process variable, wherein the process variable is represented via a selectable electrical current value, comprising an external voltage supply, a voltage regulator and a control loop associated with the voltage regulator, wherein the control loop is so embodied that the voltage regulator, as a function of the presently set electrical current value, so controls the voltage to an external load connected in parallel with the electrical current output that the external load receives essentially only the respectively required voltage.

The present disclosure relates to a device with an electric load and a replaceable electric energy store. The energy store has at least one first storage unit with a first initial energy quantity and at least one second storage unit with a second initial energy quantity, wherein an electronic circuit is designed to actuate the first storage unit or the second storage unit according to an algorithm. By actuating the first storage unit or the second source unit, the energy supply of the device is ensured by the respective storage unit, and by actuating the first storage unit or the second storage unit, it is ensured that when a remaining energy quantity or an applied energy quantity of one storage unit is low, the respective other storage unit has a remaining energy quantity of at least 10% of a total energy quantity.

A circuit arrangement comprises a voltage regulator coupled to an external voltage supply and a control loop associated with the voltage regulator. The control loop includes an electrical current controller for setting the electrical current value, an analog-digital converter, a reference resistor and a computation/control unit coupled with the voltage regulator and the said analog-digital converter, and the control loop is so embodied that the voltage regulator, as a function of the presently set electrical current value, controls a voltage to an external load connected with the electrical current output. Particularly the computation/control unit is adapted to calculate a voltage to be delivered by the voltage regulator and to operate both, the electrical current controller and the voltage regulator for setting the electrical current value and to operate and for tuning the voltage delivered by the voltage regulator as a function of the presently set electrical current value, respectively.
