Abstract: A smart antenna system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention including a beam forming antenna which includes an active antenna and a plurality of parasitic antennas, the system including: a reactance load which is connected to the parasitic antenna; a transceiver which transmits and receives a signal to the beam forming antenna; and an antenna adjusting block which tracks a signal source in real time using a plurality of beam patterns having the largest signal size and forms a beam in a direction having the largest signal size.

Abstract: Provided is a dual-polarized dipole antenna. The dual-polarized dipole antenna includes a substrate etched as first and second microstrip lines and provided in a cube, first to fourth feeding lines etched as third microstrip lines and disposed in a square type in a vertical direction to the substrate, and first to fourth radiation patches disposed in a square type in the vertical direction to the first to fourth feeding unit, wherein the first to fourth feeding units are respectively disposed on adjacent pairs of the first to fourth radiation patches. According to the present invention, a miniature dual-polarized dipole antenna having a wide bandwidth, high isolation characteristics, and a high gain can be provided.

Abstract: A random access preamble detection method of a base station includes removing a cyclic prefix (CP) from a received signal, detecting a plurality of first symbols corresponding to a plurality of first subcarriers included in an uplink available resource from the received signal with the CP removed, measuring reception power of the first symbol corresponding to each of a plurality of second subcarriers allocated to a random access channel among the plurality of first subcarriers, accumulating reception power with respect to each of the plurality of second subcarriers according to a predetermined frequency hopping pattern, and upon completely accumulating reception power according to the frequency hopping pattern, detecting a preamble sequence using each accumulated value of reception power of each of the plurality of second subcarriers.

Abstract: A communication method of a wireless device to which a single radio frequency (RF) chain antenna is applied. The wireless device stores a plurality of beam sets for the single RF chain antenna and a plurality of quality values for the plurality of beam sets. The wireless device selects a first beam set having a first quality value that is a best quality value among the plurality of stored beam sets. The wireless device confirms a second quality value for the first beam set using received data when the data are received using the first beam set. The wireless device selects a second beam set different from the first beam set among the plurality of stored beam sets when the second quality value is poorer than the first quality value.

Abstract: An operation method of a receiving node may include performing a decoding operation for calculating first and second output transform values corresponding to first and second unit output nodes in each of a plurality of operation units constituting the polar decoder, based on first and second input transform values corresponding to first and second unit input nodes, and the decoding operation may include setting initial values of first and second variables for calculating the first output transform value; performing an iterative loop operation for updating the first and second variables; and calculating the first output transform value based on values of the first and second variables updated until a time when the iterative loop operation is terminated, wherein the iterative loop operation is terminated without performing iterations in which the first and second variables are determined not to be updated among a plurality of iterations.
