A portion of sensors of each array of sensors may be shared by a portion of inputs and/or outputs of a single port of a processor. Sensors may be cross-coupled to a single processor port so that forward and reverse directions of a card swipe may nevertheless be detected by a single-port processor of a card.

    摘要: Dynamic magnetic stripe communications devices may include a coil. An exchange coupled amorphous material may be inside the coil, for example, in the form of a ribbon. The exchange coupled amorphous material may include magnetically hard crystallites embedded in a soft magnetic amorphous matrix and/or at least one crystalline surface layer. A device may include a dynamic magnetic stripe communications device including one or more exchange coupled amorphous ribbons. The device may include more than one exchange coupled amorphous ribbon. Amorphous ribbons and/or layers of amorphous ribbons may be stacked (e.g., in alignment to one another) and/or offset at different heights. The ribbons may be in a single domain state without an external magnetic field, for example, an external magnetic field from a permanent magnet. The device may not include a permanent magnet.

    摘要: A flexible card may include a dynamic magnetic stripe communications device having multiple layers, such as an electromagnetic generator, a magnet, and a shield. A shield may form a non-flexible layer within the stack and may bend, but the shield may not be able to stretch or compress. Flexible layers may surround and adhere to the shield such that when the card is flexed, the flexible layers may stretch and compress with the movement of the shield. The dynamic magnetic stripe communications device may include one or more coils. Each coil may contain a stepped material, such that a length of a lower layer of the stepped material is longer than a length of a middle layer of the stepped material which is longer than a length of a top layer of the stepped material.
