摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. In an embodiment, the water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition includes (A) an acrylic dispersion composed of particles of (i) an acrylic-based polymer with a glass transition temperature (Tg) less than -20° C., and (ii) a surfactant. The water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition also includes (B) an ethylene ester dispersion composed of (i) particles of an ethylene ester copolymer having from 1 wt % to less than 50 wt% acrylate comonomer, and (ii) a dispersant. Further disclosed are articles with the water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a process. The process includes (i) melt blending, in an extruder, (a) a polyolefin phase and (b) an aqueous phase in the presence of (c) at least one dispersant selected from an acrylic dispersant, a poloxamer dispersant, and combinations thereof; (ii) producing an interfacial tension from 0.1 dynes/cm to 25 dynes/cm; (iii) forming a polyolefin aqueous dispersion having from 25 wt % to 90 wt % solids content of dispersion; and (iv) removing the water from the polyolefin aqueous dispersion to form a powder. The powder has a mean volume average particle size from 10 μm to 300 μm, a sphericity from 0.92 to 1.0, a particle size distribution from 1 to less than 2, and a particle density from 98% to 100%.

摘要: A composite polymer composition comprising: the emulsion polymerization product of: (i) an aqueous polyolefin dispersion comprising the melt kneading product of one or more polyolefins, from 0.5 to 25 wt % of one or more dispersion stabilizing agents and water, and (ii) one or more (meth)acrylic monomers; wherein the one or more polyolefins have a Tg equal to or less than 50° C.; wherein the melt kneading product (i) comprises polymer particles having a volume average particle size between 50 nm and 2000 nm dispersed in the water; wherein the one or more dispersion stabilizing agents comprises a fatty acid or fatty acid salt stabilizing agent; and wherein the one or more (meth)acrylic monomers graft onto the polymer particles form composite polymer particles is provide. Also provided is a method of making the composition and impact modifiers comprising the composition.
