摘要: The present invention provides for an improved method of determining a water out condition in a humidified gases supply apparatus. The method includes a two step process including a primary determination of a water out condition and a secondary determination of a water out condition. This primary determination is made during observation of the normal operation of the apparatus. During the secondary determination the method takes temporary control over the humidifying part of the apparatus. The secondary determination confirms or contradicts the primary determination.

摘要: A method and apparatus controls network bandwidth between a first node and a second node on a network. A data element transmitted from the first node to the second node is intercepted. The data element comprises a data portion and a header portion including an original window size. The original window size in the header portion of the data element is replaced with a replacement window size, the data portion of the data element remaining unmodified. The data element is then routed to the second node, the header portion of the data element being coupled to the replacement window size.

摘要: A method and system are provided for performing the recovery of deleted user data in a database datafile. The database datafile may be stored in data storage and may contain one or more flags or “deleted-data flags” indicating that the database datafile contains deleted user data. For recovering the deleted user data, the system receives at least one input indicative of the database datafile, ascertains one or more addresses of deleted user data that have corresponding deleted-data flags, and alters at least one reference in the database datafile that corresponds to the ascertained addresses. Additionally, the system may search the database datafile for the deleted-data flags.

摘要: A vacuum chamber deposits thin films on a substrate by sputtering a target. The beam of atoms or ions from the target is partially blocked by a shadow or adjustable uniformity mask, reducing the deposition rate onto the substrate. The adjustable uniformity mask has several adjustable fingers. The fingers extend or retract to enlarge or reduce the size of the mask. Each finger covers a different annular region or radius of the substrate. The deposition rate at different substrate radii is thus adjustable by the fingers. Several optical beams monitor the film transmittance at different substrate radii. A transmittance profile is continually generated during deposition. As deposition proceeds, radii with a thicker film have their fingers extended to reduce their deposition rate, producing a more uniform film thickness across all radii. Motors extend or retract the individual fingers.
