Abstract: A dedicated exhaust gas recirculation (“D-EGR”) system of an internal combustion engine can include an exhaust recirculation passage, and a rotary valve. The recirculation passage can be coupled for fluid communication with an outlet of a D-EGR combustion chamber. The rotary valve can have a housing and a rotor. The housing can have a valve inlet coupled to the recirculation passage to receive exhaust gases from the recirculation passage, and a valve outlet coupled to an intake passage of the ICE to deliver exhaust gases from the rotary valve to the intake passage. The rotor can be disposed within the housing and rotatable relative to the housing. The rotor and housing can define a plurality of valve chambers.

Abstract: A speed nut for fastening a work piece to a stud includes a fastener plate defining an opening on a surface. The speed nut further includes a prong extending inwardly from an edge of the opening, the prong includes a root portion connecting with the fastener plate and a terminal end defining a single-threaded hole within the opening and configured to ratchet over threads of the stud. The root portion and the terminal portion are arranged offset from each other such that the prong plastically deforms in response to the work piece being removed from the stud.

Abstract: A tubular seal is formed of an elastic material and equipped on the outer periphery of a first tube. A second tube is inserted in the tubular seal and connected with the first tube via the tubular seal. A clamp is in a strap shape formed of a metallic material and is attached on an outer periphery of the tubular seal. The second tube or the clamp has a tab, which is protruded in a radial direction. The tubular seal has a slit extending in the radial direction. The tab is engaged with and latched on the slit.
