    摘要： A surgical clip applier includes a handle assembly, an elongated shaft, a drive shaft, a cam pin, and an end effector. The cam pin is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the drive shaft. The end effector is disposed adjacent a distal end of the elongated shaft and includes a first jaw member and a second jaw member. The end effector is disposed in operative engagement with the drive shaft such that longitudinal translation of the drive shaft relative to the housing of the handle assembly causes the first jaw member to move toward the second jaw member. The first jaw member includes a first cam slot configured to slidingly receive the cam pin. The first cam slot defines a first portion having a first slope and a second portion having second slope.

    摘要： A tissue guard includes a body having a first section and a second section each defining an open proximal end, an open distal end, and a lumen extending therethrough. The distal end of the first section includes a plurality of resilient fingers operably coupled thereto, each of the plurality of resilient fingers including a flange biased towards the distal end of the first section. The second section includes a corresponding plurality of holes defined therein in annular row-like spatial registration with the plurality of resilient fingers. The distal end of the second section is configured to be telescopically received within the proximal end of the first section such that mechanical engagement of the plurality of fingers with a corresponding row of annular holes locks the first section relative to the second section to incrementally adjust the height of the body.

    摘要： A device for furling a tissue specimen retrieval bag includes a housing supporting a spindle assembly therein, the spindle assembly including a drive shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a gear disposed therebetween. An activation switch is pivotably coupled to the housing and is configured for selective, operable engagement with the gear. The activation switch is selectively positionable relative to the gear between a first position wherein the gear and drive shaft are locked from rotation in a first direction and a second position wherein the gear and drive shaft are free to rotate in the first direction. An elongated shaft is operably coupled to the distal end of the drive shaft and is configured for rotation therewith. A biasing element is configured to provide a rotational load to the drive shaft.

    摘要： A surgical access device includes a check valve having baffling discs, a tube, and a housing. The housing has first and second housing halves. Baffling discs are configured to form a lumen. Each baffling disc is a conical annulus and is stacked adjacent to another baffling disc and spaced apart via spacers disposed on each baffling disc. The spacers help define a first gap between adjacent baffling discs for defining a first fluid path. A cover is coupled to the housing and permits access to the surgical access device. The housing is configured to receive the tube and the baffling discs, and the baffling discs are spaced apart from the first and second housing halves defining a second gap therebetween for defining a second fluid path. The first and second gaps form fluid convection channels for guiding fluid flowing in a proximal direction back into itself.
