摘要: Correlating devices and clients across addresses may be provided. A first address associated with a client device may be received. When the client device is not connected to a network, first location data associated with the first address may be obtained using a passive technique. A second address and second location data associated with the second address may then be obtained using an active technique. It may then be determined that the first location data and the second location data correlate. In response to determining that the first location data and the second location data correlate, it may be determined that the client device has changed from the first address to the second address.

摘要: A method is provided in one example embodiment and may include communicating information between a plurality of network function virtualized (NFV) based applications; and creating at least one service chain using at least two of the plurality of NFV-based applications based on the information communicated between the plurality NFV based applications. In some instances, the information can be communicated using border gateway protocol (BGP) exchanges between the NFV-based applications. In some instances, the information can include at least one of: next-hop address information for one or more ingress points of a particular NFV-based application; one or more capabilities by which a particular NFV-based application can receive data on one or more ingress points; and a method by which one or more egress points of a previous NFV-based application in a particular service chain is to perform load balancing for a subsequent NFV-based application in the particular service chain.

摘要: Presented herein are techniques to reduce the number of redirected subscriber packet flows while performing sticky hierarchical load balancing. An Nth head end network element may be activated such that a plurality of N head end network elements are active and capable of receiving and processing one or more packet flows. A primary load balancer may then be directed to overwrite a portion of pointers of a hash table in an evenly distributed manner with pointers to the Nth head end network element such that packet flows are forwarded to the Nth head end network element, wherein the hash table retains a static number of entries as the number of head end network elements is modified.

摘要: A quantum memory manager (QMM) of a source endpoint obtains a memory request from a quantum application for quantum memory blocks. The source endpoint negotiates with a destination endpoint to determine a memory lifetime value that includes a minimum decoherence time for qubits stored at the source endpoint and qubits stored at the destination endpoint. The QMM allocates a quantum memory block of a plurality of qubit storage locations to the quantum application based on the memory lifetime value. The QMM receives communication qubits that are entangled with destination qubits sent to the destination endpoint, and stores the communication qubits in the quantum memory block. Each particular communication qubit of the communication qubits is entangled with a particular destination qubit of the destination qubits.
