    Abstract: An apparatus includes a generation unit and a multiplexing unit. The generation unit generates image data for recording by a forming apparatus that forms an image on a forming member using a print head that applies energy to the member. The multiplexing unit performs multiplexing processing to generate recording data in which predetermined information to be recognized by a reading apparatus as information different from an image to be recorded on the member is embedded in the image data.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a measurement unit configured to read a patch image for a calibration which is printed on a recorded medium by a printing apparatus and measure a density of the patch image, a reception unit configured to receive spectral reflection factor information measured by reading the patch image for the calibration printed on the recorded medium by using a measurement device capable of measuring a spectral reflection factor at every predetermined wavelengths, and a processing unit configured to perform a calibration for a printing using the recorded medium by the printing apparatus on the basis of the density measured by the measurement unit and the spectral reflection factor information received by the reception unit.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a technique to obtain a tilt state occurring between an image capturing unit and a print image having additional information embedded in it without using the visible image. In the technique, an image of a print image in which additional information having a specified frequency characteristic is embedded is captured using an image capturing unit to obtain captured image data. A frequency analysis is performed on partial image data corresponding to a specified area in the obtained captured image data, to obtain distance information on a distance between the specified area and the image capturing unit. Inclination information indicating a state of a relative inclination between the image capturing unit and the print image is obtained based on this distance.

    Abstract: A recording apparatus performs recording on a recording medium by using a tray having a plurality of slots, and includes a reception unit receiving information for specifying a detection position of the recording medium in a slot of the tray from an external apparatus, and a specification unit to specify the detection position. In addition, a control unit controls the recording apparatus so that, in a case where the recording medium is arranged in a first slot and no recording medium is arranged in a second slot, recording processing is performed on the recording medium arranged in the first slot, and recording processing is not performed in association with the second slot. Detection processing to detect a recording medium is not performed for a third slot which is not specified, and detection processing is performed for the first and second slots which are specified.
