    Abstract: Provided herein is a printer comprising a printing assembly. The printing assembly comprises a printhead bracket fixedly attached to the printer, a printhead that defines a groove, the printhead aligned at a first alignment, an alignment adjuster fastened between the printhead bracket and the printhead, and a plurality of fasteners operatively engaged with the alignment adjuster. The alignment adjuster comprises a gear rack that is adjacent to the printhead bracket, and a protrusion that is received by the groove of the printhead. The plurality of fasteners comprises at least one selected from a group of a lateral adjustment fastener operatively engaged with the gear rack, and a rotational adjustment fastener operatively engaged with a transverse edge of the printhead. The lateral adjustment fastener is configured to provide lateral movement to the alignment adjuster and the printhead. The rotational adjustment fastener is configured to provide rotational movement to the printhead.

    Abstract: A printer performs printing on a thermosensitive medium including a plurality of color developing layers including a first layer developing a first color and a second layer developing a second color. The printer includes a head and a control device performing a printing control including outputting a signal pattern based on post-conversion image data converted from pre-conversion image data to cause a plurality of heat generation elements of the head to selectively generate heat while controlling conveyance of the thermosensitive medium. In the converting, when target dots containing the second color is included in the plurality of dots in the pre-conversion image data, the control device converts a color of conversion dots to a conversion color containing the color developed by any one of the plurality of color developing layers.

    Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a printer configured to print on a print medium. The printer includes a thermal head and a control unit. The thermal head has a plurality of heating elements that are arranged in a line. The control unit is configured to control thermal energy to be applied to the plurality of heating elements, in accordance with information based on image data. The information includes whether to apply a pulse of energizing current in each of a plurality of periods being preset during a scanning line time for one line. The plurality of periods is set in an order from a long period to a short period during the scanning line time.

    Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head including a plurality of heating elements, a sheet-like recording medium formed of a plurality of laminated color-developing layers for developing a plurality of colors. A first condition is satisfied when a subsequent pixel, located at the same position as a target pixel to be recorded following the target pixel, is a pixel for developing a color of a bottom color-developing layer of the recording medium. In a case where a value of the target pixel in the image data is a predetermined value and does not satisfy the first condition, the pulse control unit controls the pulse so that a thermal energy to be applied to the recording medium by the recording head in forming the target pixel is lower than if the first condition is satisfied.
