摘要: A display device is provided that has pixels including a first pixel and a second pixel arranged to be adjacent to each other along a first direction. The pixels include a light emitting region and a color filter. Luminous efficacy of the first pixel is higher than that of the second pixel. In a plane view, a center position of each color filter is shifted in the first direction from a center position of a corresponding light emitting region, and a length parallel to the first direction of the color filter of the first pixel is longer than that of the second pixel. In the first direction, each first pixel is periodically arranged and a pitch of the color filter of each first pixel and a pitch of the light emitting region of each first pixel are different from each other.

摘要: A light-emitting device includes a plurality of organic EL elements. Each of the organic EL elements includes a reflection electrode, a hole transport region, an electron-trapping luminescent layer, and a light extraction electrode in this order. The hole transport region has a sheet resistance of 4.0×107 Ω/sq. or more at a current of 0.1 nA/pixel, and the total thickness of the hole transport region and the electron-trapping luminescent layer is equivalent to an optical path length enabling emission from the electron-trapping luminescent layer to be enhanced.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent element includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic compound layer disposed between the first and second electrodes. A protective layer and a planarization layer are disposed in this order on the light emission side of whichever of the first and second electrodes is closer to the light emission side. A surface of the protective layer adjacent to the planarization layer has an uneven shape. The planarization layer is in contact with the protective layer. A surface of the planarization layer away from the protective layer is flat. The refractive index of the planarization layer is equal to or lower than that of the protective layer and equal to or higher than that of a light emission medium in contact with the planarization layer.

摘要: A light-emitting device comprising first and second light-emitting elements in a display region, and first and second dummy elements in a dummy region is provided. Each of the light-emitting elements, and the dummy elements includes a reflector arranged, a first electrode arranged above the reflector, a light-emitting layer arranged above the first electrode, and a second electrode arranged above the light-emitting layer. A difference between a distance from the reflector to the light-emitting layer in the first light-emitting element and a distance from the reflector to the light-emitting layer in the second light-emitting element is larger than a difference between a distance from the reflector to the light-emitting layer in the first dummy element and a distance from the reflector to the light-emitting layer in the second dummy element.

摘要: This invention provides a method for manufacturing an organic light emitting element in which damages to members constituting the organic light emitting element are suppressed and a protective layer with few defects is formed by performing cleaning with liquid containing water. The manufacturing method according to this invention is a method for manufacturing an organic light emitting element including a process of preparing a lower electrode, a process of forming an organic compound layer on the lower electrode, a process of forming an upper electrode on the organic compound layer; and a process of forming a first protective layer on the upper electrode, in which the method includes, after the process of forming the organic compound layer, a process of cleaning at least one of the organic compound layer, the upper electrode, and the first protective layer with liquid containing water.
