摘要: A device for monitoring eye movement and pupil response that comprises a first optical pathway for displaying one or more images to the eyes of a patient and a second optical pathway for obtaining images of the eyes of a patient. The device further comprises at least one screen for displaying an image to the left eye of the patient which is not visible to the right eye of the patient and for displaying an image to the right eye of the patient which is not visible to the left eye of the patient; a first camera for capturing images of the left eye of the patient; and a second camera for capturing images of the right eye of the patient at substantially the same time as the first camera is capturing images of the left eye of the patient. The device also comprises at least one IR light source for illuminating the eyes of the patient; and a processor for processing the obtained images and measuring pupil response and/or eye movements.

摘要: A method for evaluating retinal function and testing the visual field of a patient by monitoring how the patient tracks a target image on a display that comprises displaying the target image on the display such that if is located at a first position on the display and visible to the patient. The process continues by identifying what portion of the display the patient is looking at, selecting a location of the patient's retina to test, and calculating, based at least in part on what portion of the display the patient is looking at, a second position on the display corresponding to the selected location of the patient's retina. The target image is displayed at the second position on the display and the process identifies how many eye movements the patient made to look at the target at the second position. Based at least in part on the number of eye movements, the process determines whether the patient was able to see the target at the second position.

摘要: An ocular fundus camera system and an associated methodology. The system includes (a) an image sensor disposed along a fundus-image reflection path adjacent that path's downstream end, and in optical communication with light carried in this path, (b) an aperture centered on the reflection path's long axis, operatively associated with, and stationary with respect to, the sensor at a location which is upstream from the sensor, and (c), for accomplishing (1) precision fundus-image focusing on the sensor, and additionally (2) autorefraction, optical, light-content shifting structure, operable selectively for producing, within that portion of the reflection path which is disposed downstream from the shifting structure, relative trans-axial displacement solely of any non-collimated light carried in that portion of the main path which is disposed upstream from the shifting structure.

摘要: A fundus camera for photographing a fundus of an eye that includes a plurality of light sources with differing frequencies for illuminating the fundus, a plurality of fixation lights configured to orient the fundus in varying positions, and an imaging sensor. The fundus camera further includes at least one processor configured to cause the illumination of the plurality of light sources and the plurality of fixation lights in a predetermined pattern to obtain a plurality of narrow bandwidth images of the fundus and to manipulate and stitch the resulting narrow bandwidth images into a composite color image.
