摘要: A water purification apparatus capable of being cleaned at a point of care and methods for cleaning the water purification apparatus at the point of care are disclosed herein. The water purification apparatus and the methods provide an efficient use of a heater for heat disinfection the water purification apparatus. The water purification apparatus and the methods provide heat disinfection by recirculating heated fluid to further heat the fluid. Several different cleaning programs are provided that may be utilized for cleaning different parts of the water purification apparatus.

摘要: A water purification apparatus (1) comprising a Reverse Osmosis, RO, device (26). The RO device (26) comprises a RO membrane (26a) and a feed pump (23). The apparatus (1) also comprises a recirculation mechanism (33) arranged to recirculate a portion of the reject water to the feed water, a temperature sensor device arranged to measure a temperature indicative of the temperature of the RO membrane (26a), and a flow rate sensor device arranged to measure a flow rate indicative of the permeate flow rate of the permeate water. The apparatus (1) further comprises a control arrangement (50) configured to control recirculation to achieve a predetermined recovery ratio. The control arrangement (50) is also configured to control the rate of the feed pump (23), based on the measured temperature indicative of the temperature of the RO membrane (26a) and a desired permeate conductivity, to make the permeate flow rate equal to, or within a predetermined margin of, an energy efficient permeate flow rate determined based on a predetermined relation between RO membrane temperature, permeate flow rate and permeate conductivity. The disclosure also related to a corresponding method.

摘要: A method for controlling water purification, and a water purification apparatus (1). The apparatus (1) comprises a reverse osmosis membrane (3a) configured to receive feed water from a feed pump (5), and to produce permeate water and reject water. The method comprises measuring (S1) a property indicative of an inlet water quality Cinlet of inlet water to the feed pump (5), and determining (S2) a target recovery for the water purification based on the property indicative of the inlet water quality. The method further comprises controlling (S3) a feed pump speed to a predetermined speed, or to a speed determined based on a relation between the feed pump speed, the inlet water quality Cinlet and a target permeate water quality Cper, based on the inlet water quality. The method comprises measuring (S4) a property indicative of a product water flow rate Qprod, wherein the product water is permeate water that is delivered for consumption, recirculating (S5) a first portion of the reject water, and controlling (S6) a drain flow rate Qdrain to drain, from a second portion of the reject water, to accomplish the target recovery based on the product water flow rate Qprod.
