摘要: A trocar for peritoneal dialysis is disclosed herein. An example trocar includes a conduit having two or more parallel lumens and a head connected to a first end of the conduit. The head includes two (or more) parallel lumens that are aligned respectively with the parallel conduit lumens and includes at least one of a gasket or a seal for each lumen. The trocar also includes a coupler connected to the head. The coupler includes two (or more) parallel lumens that are aligned respectively with the parallel lumens of the head. The coupler includes a coupling mechanism for each lumen for securing surgical tools in place after insertion into a patient. The trocar may also include an obturator having a shaft that is removably inserted through the coupler, head, and conduit to protrude from a second end of the conduit.

摘要: A peritoneal dialysis (“PD”) system includes a cycler including an actuation surface having a peristaltic pump actuator; at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates; a manifold assembly including a rigid manifold having at least one chamber, the rigid manifold configured and arranged to be abutted against the actuation surface for operation, wherein the at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates is positioned to be operable with the at least one chamber; a peristaltic pump tube; and a control unit configured to actuate the peristaltic pump actuator to pump dialysis fluid to the at least one chamber, receive a signal from the at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates, count a number of revolutions of the peristaltic pump actuator, determine a current volume per revolution for the peristaltic pump actuator, and use the current volume per revolution for a subsequent operation of the peristaltic pump actuator.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for determining a correlation between intraperitoneal pressure (“IPP”) measurements and patient intraperitoneal volume (“IPV”) are disclosed. In an example, an apparatus is configured to determine a maximum fill volume of dialysate to be pumped into a peritoneal cavity of a patient. The apparatus also determines a plurality of iterations to achieve the maximum fill volume and a volume of the dialysate to be pumped for each of the iterations. For each iteration, the apparatus causes a dialysis machine to pump the dialysate to the peritoneal cavity based on the determined volume for that iteration, records IPP measurement output data from a pressure sensor, records or determines a total accumulated fill volume, and creates a data point for a personalized patient model corresponding to a correlation between the IPP measurement output data and the total accumulated fill volume.
