摘要: A vise mechanism is adapted to be incorporated in a cutting machine. A base is adapted to support a work to be cut by the cutting machine. A supporting rod is disposed on the base and extend in a first direction. A bracket is provided on the supporting rod and extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A vise rod is extending in the first direction while slidably penetrating the bracket in the first direction. A first engagement member is formed on a circumferential face of the vise rod. A damper is provided on a lower end portion of the vise rod and adapted to come in contact with the work supported on the base. A locking member is provided in the bracket and formed with a slot extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction to which the vise rod is idly fitted, so that the locking member is slidable within the bracket in the third direction while intersecting with the vise rod. A second engagement member is formed on an inner face of the slot at a first end thereof in the third direction, and adapted to engage with the first engagement portion. An operating member is operable to move the locking member in the third direction between a first position at which the first engagement member engages with the second engagement member and a second position at which an inner face of the slot at a second end thereof in the third direction comes in contact with the circumferential face of the vise rod. An urging member is urging the locking member toward the second position.

摘要: A belt drift control device (20) is mounted in the side wall (2a) of belt sander (1) comprises a shoulder bolt (22) threaded through a nut 21 in the side wall (2a). A generally conical, tapered roller (23) is rotatably engaged with the free end of the shoulder bolt (22). The tapered roller (23) comprises a taper portion (24) and a flange (24a). The axial movement of the tapered roller (23) is restricted by a washer (26) and a stop ring (27). A control knob (29) is fitted around the head of the shoulder bolt (22) and pressed outwardly by a compression spring (28) surrounding the shoulder bolt (22). Rotation of the control knob (29) axially feeds the shoulder bolt (22) to permit adjustment of the position of the tapered roller (23) relative to an abrasive belt (10). The tapered roller (23) is preferably positioned such that the top end of the taper portion (24) is in contact with the left edge (10a) of the abrasive belt (10) when the belt (10) is a normal position.

A lighting device (20) may be mounted on the housing and may serve to illuminate the area around a tool bit and/or a portion of a workpiece (W) that will be machined by the tool bit. An electric light (23) may be connected to a power source circuit (11a) via an electric line that includes electric wires (25). In order to facilitate the wiring operation, a wire guide (22, 122) preferably supports or retains at least a portion of the electric line. The wire guide may be mounted on the housing such that the wire guide extends along an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing. In the alternative, the electric line may be disposed within a recess (31) defined within an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing. In either case, the electrical line can be easily wired or installed and the electric line preferably does not interfere with machining operations during operation of the power tool.

摘要: A router is provided, which includes a main body with a pair of coupling hollows, and a base having a pair of guide shafts standing on. Each of the pair of coupling hollows has an opening facing downward through which a corresponding guide shaft is inserted. A linear ball bearing which serves as a bushing to support a corresponding guide shaft is provided in a lower portion of at least one of the coupling hollows. With this linear ball bearing, the guide shaft can be slid in the coupling hollow smoothly.
