摘要: A belt drift control device (20) is mounted in the side wall (2a) of belt sander (1) comprises a shoulder bolt (22) threaded through a nut 21 in the side wall (2a). A generally conical, tapered roller (23) is rotatably engaged with the free end of the shoulder bolt (22). The tapered roller (23) comprises a taper portion (24) and a flange (24a). The axial movement of the tapered roller (23) is restricted by a washer (26) and a stop ring (27). A control knob (29) is fitted around the head of the shoulder bolt (22) and pressed outwardly by a compression spring (28) surrounding the shoulder bolt (22). Rotation of the control knob (29) axially feeds the shoulder bolt (22) to permit adjustment of the position of the tapered roller (23) relative to an abrasive belt (10). The tapered roller (23) is preferably positioned such that the top end of the taper portion (24) is in contact with the left edge (10a) of the abrasive belt (10) when the belt (10) is a normal position.

摘要: Power tools (1) may include an electric motor (11) disposed within a housing (5). A lighting device (20) may be mounted on the housing and may serve to illuminate the area around a tool bit and/or a portion of a workpiece (W) that will be machined by the tool bit. An electric light (23) may be connected to a power source circuit (11a) via an electric line that includes electric wires (25). In order to facilitate the wiring operation, a wire guide (22, 122) preferably supports or retains at least a portion of the electric line. The wire guide may be mounted on the housing such that the wire guide extends along an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing. In the alternative, the electric line may be disposed within a recess (31) defined within an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing. In either case, the electrical line can be easily wired or installed and the electric line preferably does not interfere with machining operations during operation of the power tool.

摘要: An elecrically-operated tacker includes means for driving a tack which is urged toward a muzzle section by a spring, an operating means for moving the driving means back to a starting position, a switch having a push button, a trigger means having a pair of first and second depressing elements, a control member for maintaining the first depressing element in an operative position, a safety means for normally maintaining the control member in a safety position, first and second engaging elements provided on the operating means, third, fourth and fifth engaging elements on the driving means, and a release means. Initially the driving means is located in a starting position immediately before a first extreme position. When the trigger is depressed, the push button is depressed by the first depressing element to move the driving means for a slight distance to the first extreme position so that the driving means springs to the second extreme position by the action of the spring to drive a tack. At substantially the same time that the driving means springs to the second extreme position, the first depressing element is forced out of the engagement with the push button. However, before the first depressing element is disengaged therefrom, the second depressing element is allowed to engage with the push button. When the driving means has reached the second extreme position, the second engaging element engages with the third engaging element to move the driving means to a substantially middle position and, then the first engaging element engages with the fourth engaging element to move the driving means to the starting position. At the same time that the driving means reaches the starting position, the release means disengages the second depressing element from the push button of the switch to switch the tacker off.

摘要: A hammer drill includes a spindle supported by a housing and movable in an axial direction relative to the housing within a predetermined range, a motor for rotating the spindle, a rotary cam member fixedly mounted on the spindle, a clutch cam member which supports a weight member is axially movably mounted on the spindle, and a biasing member for normally biasing the clutch cam member and weight member toward the rotary cam member in the axial direction of the spindle. A first cam and a second cam are provided on the rotary cam member and the clutch cam member, respectively, facing each other in the axial direction of the spindle. The first cam and the second cam cause the clutch cam and weight member to repeatedly move toward and away from the rotary cam member as the spindle is rotated causing the spindle to vibrate in the axial direction. The ratio: ##EQU1## determines the intensity of vibrations transmitted to the hands of an operator.
