Abstract:
A method and treatment for removing an unwanted living organism from a person includes administering topically to the person an effective amount of a solution including a pyrethrin compound and piperonyl butoxide. The term “pyrethrin compound” includes pyrethrin, cinerin, and allethrin. A carrier formulation can be added to said piperonyl butoxide and said pyrethrin compound to form a cream, an emulsion, a lotion, an ointment, or a paste. The carrier formulation can be based on petrolatum, mineral oil, vegetable oil, denatured ethanol, or isopropyl alcohol. The method and treatment can be applied for treating cuts and bruises, reducing body odor, repelling insects, and diminishing parasites.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a method of assisting the elimination of alcohol in a person in need of such treatment, which comprises the administration to such person of an effective amount of at least one compound having the formula (I) X—CH2—CH(OY)q(H)1-qCH(NH2+)1-qCOO− (I) and its addition salts, wherein X represents a trimethylammonio group (CH3)3N+ or a carbamoyl group (CONH2), Y is hydrogen or an acetyl (CH3CO) group, and q is zero or one, provided that when X is a carbamoyl group q is zero, and when X is a trimethylammonio group. q is one.
Abstract:
A novel concept for a propeller blade configuration incorporates the model of the natural wave behavior. The leading edge of the propeller blade has a convex segment followed by a concave segment, as seen in a plan view. The leading and trailing edges are rounded so as to promote proper fluid sheet formation along the flat surfaces and to reduce undesirable vortice formation. Best results are obtained by modeling the surfaces along a sine or tangent function.

A novel concept for a propeller blade configuration incorporates the model of the natural wave behavior. The leading edge of the propeller blade is parallel to the trailing edge, but offset by a given amplitude. The surfaces between the leading and trailing edges are rounded so as to promote proper fluid sheet formation along the surface and to reduce undesirable vortice formation. Best results are obtained by modeling the surfaces along a sine or tangent function.

Abstract:
A cartridge clip assembly includes an exterior housing having a cavity for storing a multiplicity of bullets. Inserted into the exterior housing is an interior housing. The interior housing has an interior cavity for receiving the bullets. There is a compression spring disposed in the interior housing for providing a compression spring force on the bullets when the interior housing is inserted into the exterior housing. There is a latching and releasing mechanism for securing the interior housing in the exterior housing and for releasing the interior housing from the exterior housing.
Abstract:
A combustion engine, which is highly efficient, noiseless and lightweight, includes a combustion chamber without pistons. The combusted and expanded air exiting the combustion chamber flows into a displacement pump, such as a gear pump or radial vane pump. The displacement pump drives the load, and, in addition, another smaller displacement pump, which pressurizes fresh air and introduces same, via a feedback loop, into the combustion chamber. Gas or other burnable fuels are introduced in the combustion chamber, so that a continuous fuel burning will occur, after being ignited. The ratio of bigger to the smaller pump is influenced by the percentage of expansion of the air in the combustion chamber. Additional features could be implemented for optimization of performance of the combustion chamber, such as: spring loaded adjustable baffles within the chamber to create desired compression, meandering walls and protrusions in the feedback loop, and heating the air in the smaller pump prior to entry into the feedback loop.

The invention is a method of showing images at different depths and a display that shows images at different depths. The method includes disposing one or more display screens, which are at least partly transparent, in front of a further display screen so that a viewer sees images displayed at different depths on the different display screens.
Abstract:
The fluid displacement pump enables substantially continuous pumping from a low-pressure side to a high-pressure side substantially without any backflow or backpressure pulsations. Liquid or gas is injected to the high-pressure side by way of mutually intertwined worm spindles that form a fluidtight displacement system. The blades of the impeller system are slightly curved from the inside out, i.e., from their axles to their periphery, so as to ensure a tight seal between adjacent blades. The orientation of the blades is almost flat, i.e., their attack angle relative to backpressure is close to perpendicular so that they will turn quite freely in the forward direction, but will not be turned backwards by a pressurized backflow. The impeller rotation that is introduced via the spindle shafts nevertheless leads to a volume displacement towards the high-pressure side, for instance, towards a chamber to be pressurized or to be subjected to equal pressure.
Abstract:
A rotary internal combustion engine has a cylindrical rotor which rotates in a cylindrical rotor chamber of a stator. A cylindrical peripheral surface of the rotor rotates equidistantly from the housing wall of the rotor housing. A plurality of vanes project radially from the peripheral surface of the rotor and they sealing against the inner wall surface of the rotor housing. Several turning or reciprocating valves are equi-angularly distributed about a periphery of the housing chamber. The valves seal against the rotor periphery and they open up for the vanes to pass by.
