Abstract: The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for controlling pests. A ready-to-use barrier and knockdown pesticide composition comprises a killing agent; a knockdown agent; a surface-active agent; and a carrier, and the composition is a water-in-oil emulsion. A method for controlling pests comprises applying the RTU barrier and knockdown pesticide composition directly to a target pest using a sprayer. The present compositions and methods provide average users an immediate indication of the knockdown efficiency against target pests.

The container body is composed of an olefinic resin layer, an alicyclic olefinic resin layer, an olefinic resin layer, and a polyethylene terephthalate layer or an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer layer. The olefinic resin layer is in contact with the agent.

The disclosure also relates to methods using these mixtures for combating and controlling insects, arachnids or nematodes in and on plants, and for protecting such plants being infested with pests, especially for protecting plant proparagation material, such as seeds.

Abstract: Compositions, formulas, methods of making, mixing and applying insecticide formulations to different surfaces such as but not limited to interior surfaces of ovitraps, on walls and on chips and tiles to produce a texturized surface to allow for better transfer of the insecticidal active ingredients to insects, such as mosquitoes and the like, which land on or crawl on the surfaces, resulting in faster insect mortality rates. The texture of the insecticidal residue provides better transfer of the insecticidal active ingredients to insects that land on or crawl on the surface, resulting in faster insect mortality. The textured residue also enhances desirable surface characteristics for landing of mosquitoes and potentially other insects.
