Abstract: This relates to a device that detects a user's motion and gesture input through the movement of one or more of the user's hand, arm, wrist, and fingers, for example, to provide commands to the device or to other devices. The device can include a plurality of myoelectric sensors configured to detect one or more electrical signals from a body part of a user indicative of one or more movements. A plurality of signals indicative of the detected one or more electrical signals may be generated. The device may also include a wireless communication transmitter configured to communicate with a peripheral device and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive the plurality of signals from the plurality of myoelectric sensors, use the plurality of signals together to determine a gesture, and communicate one or more of: the plurality of signals and the gesture to the peripheral device.

Abstract: A waterproof button assembly. The waterproof button assembly may include a housing including an opening and a button. The button may be positioned at least partially within the housing via the opening. The assembly may also include a plurality of engagement components positioned on opposite-distal ends of the button. The plurality of engagement components may be configured to retain the button within the housing. The engagement components may extend distally from the button, such that a portion of the engagement components may be positioned within apertures formed in the sidewall of the housing. The assembly may also include a plurality of supports, a tactile dome in contact with the button and at least one of the plurality of supports. A sensing component of the assembly may be positioned adjacent the housing and in alignment with the button and/or tactile dome for sensing actuation of the button within the assembly.

Abstract: A moisture sensor includes one or more electrodes and sensor circuitry configured to detect the presence of moisture by detecting a change in an electrical measurement of the one or more electrodes. In response, the sensor may signal a component to perform an action. In some examples, capacitance and/or resistance between a pair of electrodes may be monitored, such as a pair of electrode sheets or meshes positioned in passage of a device that are separated by a gap. In various examples, a first electrode may be mounted cantilever to a second electrode and the presence of moisture between the electrodes may pull a free end closer to the second electrode. In some examples, the presence of moisture may cause bridging of a gap between two or more electrodes to complete or corrosion of a portion of an electrode to result in a change of resistance that can be detected.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for presenting a user interface on a wearable electronic device. In certain embodiments, input is received from at least one sensor coupled to the wearable electronic device. Once the input from the at least one sensor is received, an orientation of the wearable electronic device is determined with respect to an object to which the wearable electronic device is attached. When the orientation of the wearable electronic device is determined, a user interface is presented on a display of the wearable electronic device. In embodiments, the user interface is displayed in an orientation that is based, at least in part, on the determined orientation of the wearable electronic device.
