    摘要: A technique for reducing interference in a GPS-equipped wireless device having a transmitter is provided. In doing so, a GPS signal is acquired, and it is determined whether the GPS signal contains valid GPS data, the GPS signal having a GPS frequency range. If the GPS data is not valid due to the noted second harmonic interference, the transmit power levels of the transmitter within different categories of frequency blocks (frequency blocks corresponding to the second harmonic of the transmit frequency of the device interfering with the GPS frequency range entirely, partially and only slightly) are selectively and iteratively determined. The power levels in these frequency blocks are iteratively and selectively reduced to help determine valid GPS data.

    摘要: A method of facilitating path switching, for a communication path between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, from a device to device (D2D) path to network path, includes receiving switch point information from the first UE that identifies a data block; establishing, at the access network, a connection with the first UE over an uplink path between the first UE and the access network; establishing, at the access network, a connection with the second UE over a downlink path between the network element and the second UE; setting, at the access network, a data block sequencing numbering to be the same for the uplink path and the downlink path based on the switch point information; and forwarding, at the access network, data from the first UE to the second UE via the network path, the network path including the uplink path and the downlink path.

    摘要: In a wireless telecommunications network, there is included: a macro cell (10) having a first coverage area; and at least one metro cell (20a, 20b, 20c) having a second coverage area, the metro cell being located within the first coverage area of the macro cell. Suitably, the macro cell is configured to: determine whether or not the macro cell is congested; determine whether or not the metro cell is uncongested; and, if it is determined the macro cell is congested and that the metro cell is uncongested, then the macro cell determines that an attempted application of Cell Association Bias (CAB) for the metro cell is warranted. Suitably, if CAB is in fact applied, the macro cell also implements enhanced Inter Cell Interference Coordination (eICIC) using Almost Blank Subframes (ABS) and informs its other neighboring metro cells of this configuration.

    摘要: Successfully decoded data received from a mobile terminal as well as the transmission format of that data is relayed over the backhaul from a base station receiver that successfully decoded the mobile terminal's transmission to the base stations in the mobile terminal's active set that presumably were unable to decode the mobile terminal's transmission due to inadequate signal-to-noise ratio. A base station that receives this transmission from the relaying base station that did successfully decode and demodulate the mobile terminal's transmission is then able to reconstruct the data and subtract it from the total interference, thereby increasing the signal-to-noise ratio at this base station for its in-cell processing.
