    摘要: A coal liquefaction system is disclosed with a novel preasphaltene recycle from a supercritical extraction unit to the slurry mix tank wherein the recycle stream contains at least 90% preasphaltenes (benzene insoluble, pyridine soluble organics) with other residual materials such as unconverted coal and ash. This subject process results in the production of asphaltene materials which can be subjected to hydrotreating to acquire a substitute for No. 6 fuel oil. The preasphaltene-predominant recycle reduces the hydrogen consumption for a process where asphaltene material is being sought.

    摘要: A fatigue crack growth retardant material for application to aluminum and alloys thereof utilizes certain organic nitrogen compounds and an elastomeric polymer compatible herewith with respect to the curing properties thereof as well as the ultimate properties of the material and capable of stabilizing the nitrogen compound so as to inhibit the evaporation thereof to the atmosphere. The material inhibits corrosion of and retards crack growth in aluminum and alloys thereof when applied thereto. The material has particular utility when applied to the surfaces of structural parts of aircraft and is utilized as a protective coating as well as a sealant, dependent upon the amount of solvent added to the polymeric elastomer.

    摘要: A corrosion and crack growth inhibitor is disclosed, the inhibitor being relatively non-toxic as well as unreactive with curable elastomeric materials so as to form a coating composition for application to metal surfaces. The inhibitor comprises a curable polymer material, such as epoxy polyamide, and cerous molybdate in the amount of from about 1 to 15 percent by weight of the inhibitor.

    摘要: A process is set forth for the solvent extraction and hydroliquefaction of heavy hydrocarbon oils and residua having an API gravity at 60.degree. F. of less than 20.degree. in the presence of a hydrogen atmosphere and a hydrogen donor solvent at elevated temperature and pressure. Alternately, the hydrocarbon feed can be subjected to a vacuum distillation before solvent extraction or the liquefaction can be catalyzed in-situ. The process results in improved oil production and greater denitrogenation desulfurization and demetallization.
