    Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) and a Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) for a plurality of carriers at a user equipment (UE) device, the plurality of carriers transmitted by a source group of cells including a source primary cell (PCell) and one or more source secondary cells (SCells) associated with the source PCell, and initiating a handover of communication with the UE device from the source group of cells to a target group of cells, wherein the target group of cells includes a target PCell and one or more target SCells, wherein the initiating the handover is responsive to the RSRP exceeding a predetermined RSRP threshold and the SNR exceeding a predetermined SNR threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    Abstract: Techniques for controlling parameters for uplink transmission associated with a device to facilitate improving a communication condition metric(s) (CCM(s)) of the uplink transmission are presented. A communication management component (CMC) can determine whether CCM satisfies a first threshold CCM. If CCM does not, CMC can modify a parameter(s) to reduce a number of resource blocks or an MCS value to improve the CCM. If respective minimum threshold levels have been reached for the number of resource blocks and MCS value, and CCM still is not satisfying the first threshold CCM, CMC can modify a parameter to increase an amount of repetition of data packets for uplink transmission (unless a maximum threshold amount of repetition is reached). If CCM satisfies an applicable threshold CCM for a defined amount of time, CMC can modify parameters to increase the number of resource blocks, increase MCS value, or reduce repetition of data packets.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for optimization of information required for establishing an initial connection with a network device. According to some embodiments, a system can comprise receiving a service request from a network device. The system can further comprise determining a first size of a network device capabilities message, wherein the determining is based on a second size of the network device capability message previously collected from the network device; and based on a first result of analyzing the first size of the network device capabilities message and a message size threshold, determining that the network device capabilities message is not greater than the message size threshold, and requesting the network device to provide the network device capabilities message associated with network device capabilities in accordance with a single step enquiry.

    Abstract: Concepts and technologies of remote user equipment assessment for network connection provisioning are provided herein. In an embodiment, a method can include receiving, by a server from a network connection client executing on a user equipment, a network connection request to authorize connection to a network. The method can also include determining, by the server, whether the user equipment can support communication via an internet protocol-based advanced service of the network. In response to determining that the user equipment can support communication with an internet protocol-based advanced service of the network, the method can further include authorizing, by the server, a network connection for the user equipment while prohibiting the user equipment from using the internet protocol-based advanced service during the network connection.
