    Abstract: Method and apparatus to trigger a handover of a mobile device from a serving cell to a neighbor cell based on signal quality are disclosed. The mobile device measures signal strength and signal quality for the serving cell. When the signal strength exceeds a network-defined threshold and the signal quality falls below a mobile device defined threshold, the mobile device measures at least one neighbor cell. When a neighbor cell exceeds the network-defined threshold for signal strength and also meets the mobile device defined signal quality threshold, the mobile device sends a measurement report to the serving cell to trigger the handover. The measurement report includes modified values that indicate the serving cell does not meet network-defined threshold values and that the neighbor cell outperforms the serving cell.

    Abstract: A method to control multiple radio access bearers is performed at a mobile wireless communication device when the mobile wireless communication device is connected to a radio network subsystem in a wireless communication network by first and second bidirectional radio access bearers. The mobile wireless communication device transmits a data packet on an uplink of the first bidirectional radio access bearer to the radio network subsystem. When the data packet is not correctly received by the radio network subsystem, the mobile wireless communication device retransmits the data packet repeatedly. After N retransmissions of the data packet, the mobile wireless communication device releases the first bidirectional radio access bearer while maintaining the second bidirectional radio access bearer. The first bidirectional radio access bearer provides a channel to transport packet switched data, and the second bidirectional radio access bearer provides a channel to transport circuit switched data.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein provide apparatuses and techniques for providing a notification indicating guidance to reaching cellular connectivity in the event of a loss of cellular connectivity and for guiding a user of a user equipment to a location with cellular connectivity. The notification may be generated based on expiration of a timer, a screen unlock operation, or an application connection failure. The notification may indicate how long ago the cellular connectivity loss occurred and how far away a nearest location is with a cellular connectivity was. The user equipment may display a map interface based on user input selecting the notification.     Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer programs for reference signal measurement reporting by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communications system. In one aspect, the method can include actions of measuring a reference signal received power (RSRP) value for each of a plurality of synchronization signal block (SSB) beams from a base station, determining that a greatest RSRP value of the measured RSRP values is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold, responsive to the determination, calculating, based at least in part on the measured RSRP values and a horizontal/vertical (H/V) polarization imbalance for each of the plurality of SSB beams, a ranking of the plurality of SSB beams, and reporting at least one of the ranked plurality of SSB beams to the base station.
