    摘要: An interior base material is obtained by a method comprising a step of treating with a treating agent which comprises (A) a water-insoluble water-absorbent resin having a water absorbency to pure water for 50 to 1,000 ml/g and a particle size of 0.1 to 100 .mu.m, (B) a polyoxyalkylene nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant, and (C) a solvent having the boiling point of 50 to 250.degree. C. A process for printing the thus-treated interior base material comprises applying a dye ink having a viscosity of 1 to 100 cps by an ink-jet method, or applying a textile printing dye paste having a viscosity of 100 to 10,000 cps by a textile printing method followed by a heat-color developing treatment. The present invention provides a printed object with excellent sharpness, penetration effect enabling uniform printing from the surface to the deep part of the base material even to a base material having a thick three-dimentional structure or a base material having a long pile and thickness such as moquette, with an excellent build-up.

The fragrance or deodorant release device can be readily produced on an industrial scale, is easy for a user to handle, and employs a water swellable/water absorbing resin. The gel is produced by enclosing a water swellable/water absorbing resin in a water resistant container, such as a packet, having a water permeable portion and immersing the packet into an aqueous medium containing the fragrance and/or deodorant components whereby the resin absorbs the fragrance and/or deodorant components.

    摘要: A gelating agent for an alkaline cell is a cross-linked polymer (A) comprising (meth)acrylic acid and/or its alkali metal salt as a main constituent monomer unit and obtained by an aqueous solution polymerization or a reversed phase suspension polymerization and satisfies the following required conditions (1), (2). The gelating agent has good draining property, satisfactorily high speed charging property of the alkaline electrolytic solution and is therefore effective to produce cells with little unevenness of the charging amount of the electrolytic solution and having uniform quality by mass production and an alkaline cell using the gelating agent is provided with durable discharge time and remarkably excellent impact resistance for a long duration. The said required conditions are required condition (1); that the gelating agent contains 50% by weight or more of a particle whose swollen particle size becomes 300 to 4,000 &mgr;m when the gelating agent is swollen in an aqueous potassium hydroxide solution of 40% by weight concentration and required condition (2); that the aqueous potassium hydroxide solution of 40% by weight concentration containing 3% by weight of the gelating agent has 0 to 20 mm stringiness.

    摘要: A water swelling water stop material comprised of a water permeable sheet, characterized in that water absorbent resin particles (A) are enclosed therein so that the water stop material upon water absorption and swelling has the configuration of polyhedron (B). The water stop material is thin to thereby facilitate storage thereof and is lightweight to thereby render carry thereof easy. The polyhedron (B) is so constructed that upon water absorption and swelling, at least two faces are planar. When the polyhedron (B) is formed into a rectangular solid or cube, even if multiple polyhedrons (B) are piled one upon another, they are stable and are resistant to collapse even under the influence of a a large amount of water. When polyhedrons (B) of the same configuration are piled one upon another, any gaps between water stop materials are slight so as to inhibit water leakage through the gaps. Moreover, when the polyhedron (B) has a cavity, the cavity can be packed with a heavy solid material or can have a stake hammered therein so that the water stop material can stably resist violent water streams. Therefore, this water swelling water stop material can be appropriately used as a water stop material for rainwater penetration prevention in order to protect banks, buildings, houses, etc. in the event of flood, heavy rain, etc.

    摘要: This invention relates to a cable whose inner opening space has been sealed with a polyurethane resin formed with a polyurethane resin-forming sealing material comprising components (A) and (B). (A): a component comprising a dispersion (1) of a water-insoluble water absorbent resin (D) or its hydrogel in a polyol (C), wherein said resin (D) is formed by polymerizing in the polyol (C) a water soluble monomer or its precursor and crosslinking agent and/or polysaccharide; and (B): a component comprising an organic polyisocyanate (2); and sealing process of the same. This invention provides a cables having an excellent water preventing property without the risk of falling-off of the sealing material at the time of cable connection.
