摘要: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for detecting and mitigating fraud in a distributed monitoring system which includes fixed-location monitoring and communication devices. According to one aspect, a method for detecting and mitigating fraud includes receiving a signaling message that originates or appears to originate from a wireless communication device that is associated with a fixed-location management system that performs at least one of monitoring and control of a resource, wherein the wireless communication device is responsible for communicating information generated by the management system over a network. The method further includes determining whether the signaling message indicates an expected location of the wireless communication device and in response to a determination that the signaling message does not indicate an expected location of the wireless communication device, initiating a mitigating action.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for early media connection proxying are disclosed. According to one method, a call setup signaling message is received for establishing a call between a calling entity and a called entity. Based on at least one parameter in the call setup signaling message, it is determined whether an early media connection is required for the call. It is also determined whether early media connection proxying is required for the call. In response to determining that an early media connection and early media connection proxying are required for the call, signaling is performed on behalf of a network entity to establish an early media connection for the call.

摘要: Methods and systems for intelligent signaling-router-based surveillance are disclosed. A surveillance and signaling router receives call signaling messages, identifies call signaling messages associated with users under surveillance and determines a surveillance type for the call signaling messages. If the surveillance type is content-related, the surveillance and signaling router forwards the message to a call server. The call server replaces parameters in the message and in subsequent messages so that the call is transparently set up through a media proxy server. The media proxy server copies the media stream to a delivery function. If the surveillance type is non-content-related, the surveillance and signaling router sends a copy of the message or information extracted from the message to an external device.

摘要: A routing node for receiving, processing, and subsequently transmitting Signaling System 7 (SS7) signaling messages destined for a Media Gateway Controller (MGC) type network element is disclosed. A Circuit Identification Code (CIC) routing node is adapted to receive an ISUP message from an associated SS7 network and determine the routing destination of the message based, at least in part, on a CIC parameter value contained within the message. The ISUP message is subsequently encapsulated in an Internet Protocol (IP) envelope and transmitted to a destination node via an IP communication link. Such a CIC routing node also provides network service providers with a method of generally eliminating the need for the assignment of unique SS7 network point codes to each MGC node in a network. That is, a CIC routing node allows multiple MGC nodes to effectively correspond to a single SS7 network point code.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for inducing the activation of a service trigger at a switching office in a communications network are disclosed. According to one method, a call setup message associated with a call is received. It is then determined whether service trigger induction is required for the call. In response to determining that service trigger induction is required for the call, the call setup message is modified to include service trigger induction information and the modified call setup message is directed to a destination switching office. At the destination switching office, a service trigger is activated based on the service trigger induction information in the modified call setup message.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for third party monitoring and control of calls are disclosed. For example, a method performed at a signaling node includes receiving a signaling message indicating an attempted call communication to a called party device from a calling party device and determining if the called party device is subscribed to a call monitoring service. In response to determining that the called party device is subscribed to the call monitoring service, sending a notification message to a monitoring third party device associated with the called party device, wherein the notification message indicates the attempted call communication between the monitored called party device and the calling party device. The method further includes receiving a response to the notification message from the third party device, and determining whether or not to allow the attempted communication to proceed between the monitored called party device and calling party device based on the response from the monitoring third party device.
