摘要: Systems and methods for displaying onboard service information for vessels are described. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving a user request to add a particular vessel to a user watch list associated with a user; adding a particular vessel identifier of the particular vessel to a set of vessel identifiers of a set of vessels included in the user watch list; and obtaining status of a service type of an onboard service provided on each vessel of the set of vessels. In response to receiving a request to display the user watch list, first graphical interface data is generated. The first graphical interface data represents: the set of vessel identifiers that corresponds to the set of vessels; a service icon for each corresponding vessel of the set of vessels; and a watch list header comprising labels for the set of vessel identifiers and the service type.

The chip further includes a lead frame having one or more radio-frequency input pins electrically coupled to the input contact pad, one or more radio-frequency output pins electrically coupled to the output contact pad, and first and second input bias pins electrically coupled to the first and second DC contact pads, respectively.

The IC chip can include a circuit to adjust a signal communicated with the feed. The antenna element module can further include a plastic antenna carrier adhered to the second surface of the dielectric substrate. The plastic antenna carrier can include a body portion comprising a cavity for the radiating element of the antenna element, the radiating element positioned in the cavity of the body portion of the plastic antenna carrier.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing network access services to mobile users via mobile terminals over a satellite system. In embodiments, dynamic multiplexing of traffic from fixed terminals and mobile users on the same satellite beam can take advantage of statistical multiplexing of large numbers of users and on different usage patterns between fixed terminals and mobile users. In embodiments, quality-of-service (QoS) is controlled for mobile devices at a per-user level. Mobile users may be provisioned on the satellite system according to a set of traffic policies based on their service level agreement (SLA). System resources of the satellite may be allocated to mobile users based on the demand of each mobile user and the set of traffic polices associated with each mobile user, regardless of which mobile terminal is used to access the system.

摘要: Described herein are systems and methods that dynamically manage network traffic for individual subscribers based on past and current data usage rates. The disclosed systems and methods operate to control data traffic for a group of subscribers that share a common access network or that share a common access link to an access network. Prior to an individual subscriber reaching their data plan limit, the disclosed systems and methods track individual subscribers' past and current data rates and manage individual subscribers' current usage rates so that each subscriber's continually or periodically updating past usage rate stays within a provisioning rate for the group. This can improve user experience because rather than waiting until a subscriber has reached their plan data limit to impose strict data usage restrictions, the disclosed systems and methods use modest restrictions continuously or intermittently during the plan period.

摘要: Described techniques and apparatuses relate to determining an attenuation environment surrounding a satellite terminal in a satellite communication system. The satellite terminal may receive signals from an auxiliary satellite system, and determine aspects of an attenuation environment that may affect communications with a communications satellite system. For example, transmissions from an auxiliary satellite system may be associated with a respective location of the transmitting satellite in order to define an attenuation profile for the satellite terminal antenna assembly. Subsequent signals from the auxiliary satellite system may be compared with the attenuation map, and the comparison may be used to identify a diagnostic condition for communications with a communications satellite system. In some examples the comparison of signals to the attenuation profile may indicate an obstruction between the satellite terminal antennas and a communications satellite, or a misalignment of a satellite terminal antenna assembly.

摘要: An antenna may have features to ameliorate ice accumulation thereon. For instance, the antenna may include a feed structure between a reflector and a radome. The radome may cover at least a portion of the antenna and/or components of the antenna. A heating element may be located at various locations on the feed structure of the antenna. The heating element may heat the radome or other aspects of the antenna. The heating element may heat the radome or other aspects by infrared radiation, and/or via circulating warmed air. A fan may be provided to promote circulation of warmed air. The heat ameliorates ice accumulation the antenna so that ice accumulation does not diminish the electromagnetic performance of the antenna.

摘要: A method for adjusting a pointing direction of an antenna beam involves forming a beam with a reflector antenna including a reflector and a feed, the feed including an array of N antenna elements, by activating a first set of antenna elements among the N antenna elements. A signal metric of a signal communicated via the beam is measured. In an iterative fashion, a pointing direction of the beam is adjusted at least in part by activating a different set of antenna elements among the N antenna elements, and the signal metric is re-measured with each iterative adjustment. A final pointing direction and associated final set of antenna elements are selected for operation of the reflector antenna based on the signal metric measurements.
